Sue Ann Pitts

Owner/Executive Director

With over two decades of dedicated service, Sue Ann Pitts has been at the helm of Sylvan Learning in Corpus Christi, Texas, since 2001. Under her leadership, the center has become a cornerstone of educational support in the community, providing personalized tutoring services that empower students to achieve their academic goals.

As Executive Director, Sue Ann oversees all aspects of the center’s operations, from curriculum development to staff training, ensuring that each student receives the highest quality of instruction. Her commitment to educational excellence is reflected in the center’s long-standing reputation for fostering academic growth and confidence among students of all ages.

Beyond managing day-to-day operations, Sue Ann is deeply involved in community outreach, partnering with local schools and organizations to promote educational initiatives and support student success. Melita Pitts

Director

Melita Pitts serves as the Director of Education at Sylvan Learning of Corpus Christi, bringing over four and a half years of dedicated leadership to the center. Her journey with Sylvan began as a student, participating in various programs from elementary through high school. This firsthand experience instilled in her a deep appreciation for personalized education and its transformative impact.

A proud graduate of Texas A&M University at College Station, Melita returned to Sylvan with a passion for fostering academic growth and confidence in students. Her unique perspective as both a former student and current director enables her to connect authentically with students and families, guiding them toward their educational goals.

Under her leadership, Sylvan Learning of Corpus Christi continues to thrive as a trusted resource for families seeking academic support. Melita’s commitment to educational excellence and her unwavering belief in the potential of every student drive her to create supportive, engaging learning environments tailored to each individual’s needs.

Director

Hi, I’m Heather Price.  I have a degree in Business Management with over sixteen years of experience in sales and management. A few years ago, I followed a calling to make a deeper impact and transitioned into education, earning my certification in Special Education and spending five wonderful years in the classroom.

My Journey recently brought me from Houston to Corpus Christi, where I’ve found a unique opportunity to combine my business background with my passion for education. I love working with kids and watching them grow, and now I get to do that in a way that draws on all of my skills and experiences.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a proud wife to a Navy Veteran and mother to a high school daughter who keeps me inspired every day.
