With the implementation of Standard Baseline Learning (SBL) in our school district, we were deceived that our child was doing great in school. We noticed our child's weakness where the SBL did not identify. We enrolled our child into Sylvan for additional help in her area of weakness and she has improved significantly. She understands the proper usage of punctuation and is now working on strengthening her spelling. The staff are friendly and always making sure the children are safe.

Both of my kids took the Sylvan ACT courses here and saw significant gains (4+ points) in their test scores. The courses were customized to focus on the areas each one needed and play to their strengths. Highly, highly recommend!

My daughter has been going to Sylvan BALLWIN for more than 2 years . She enjoys learning there and the help provided to complete homework and also accelerate her Math learning is very good . I always heard good things about Sylvan Learning. My son needs additional learning support for reading and writing. The teachers focus my son reading comprehension and writing skills. My son has only been at Sylvan for about a month now, and he has already improved SO much! He loves going every time and looks forward to all the special days they plan (crazy hat day, flip fop day, STEM day, etc. ). Our son has been attending Sylvan for 7 months and it has changed his life! When he began his program reading was very hard for him. It was intimidating any time we sat down to try. Since he has been with the center his reading has improved greatly, his confidence is visibly increased, and he doesn’t get upset when it’s time to read. The progress my child has made has been nothing short of a miracle....reading has improved 2 grade levels in 8 months. When we had exhausted all other options through school and private tutoring, we turned to Sylvan In desperation. Now we wish we had started there!! We have since enrolled another child and are ecstatic at the progress being made with them as well. Having the option for online sessions during the Covid pandemic has been phenomenal. I can’t believe how seamless they have made it to continue sessions from home!!!

I love that my child actually likes going there - he wants to learn. The teachers are all great and caring people.
