As a Centre Director, Alexia leads the amazing teaching team at Sylvan of West Edmonton, as well as overseeing the operations of the centre. With a Bachelor’s degree in progress, focusing on biological sciences and psychology at Athabasca University, Alexia brings a deep understanding of learning to her role. This allows her to effectively promote a growth mindset and cultivate a fun and effective learning environment, ensuring every student at Sylvan achieves their best.

Lauren Hollman

Tutor

Lauren is an instructor at Sylvan Learning dedicated to supporting student growth and achievement. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, and is currently pursuing an after-degree in Education. Lauren’s approach focuses on creating personalized learning experiences that help students build confidence, master key skills, and foster a lasting love of learning.

Rebecca Brue

Rebecca is an enthusiastic teacher with a profound dedication to fostering a vibrant and supportive environment where every student feels inspired to learn and truly thrive. She is currently honing her skills and expanding her knowledge base as she pursues a Bachelor of Elementary Education at the University of Alberta. Rebecca’s philosophy centers on creating a classroom where curiosity is celebrated, questions are encouraged, and mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth.

Robert Chen

Robert is an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta studying Mechanical engineering. Being a previous student at Sylvan, he hopes to share the fun and joys of learning and studying with new and existing students. He believes in creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive and challenge themselves to grow and progress.
