Meet the Edmonton team

Lauren is an instructor at Sylvan Learning dedicated to supporting student growth and achievement. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, and is currently pursuing an after-degree in Education. Lauren’s approach focuses on creating personalized learning experiences that help students build confidence, master key skills, and foster a lasting love of learning.

Rebecca is an enthusiastic teacher with a profound dedication to fostering a vibrant and supportive environment where every student feels inspired to learn and truly thrive. She is currently honing her skills and expanding her knowledge base as she pursues a Bachelor of Elementary Education at the University of Alberta. Rebecca's philosophy centers on creating a classroom where curiosity is celebrated, questions are encouraged, and mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth.

Robert is an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta studying Mechanical engineering. Being a previous student at Sylvan, he hopes to share the fun and joys of learning and studying with new and existing students. He believes in creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive and challenge themselves to grow and progress.

Kai is a Sylvan Instructor who graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. As a former Taekwondo instructor, Kai draws from his experiences with academics and teaching to create an adaptable, personable, and inspiring environment for all students to learn in. With his goal to one day practice medicine, Kai strives to help his students realize their full potential and feel confident in their talents.
