We recently moved our kids from Sylvan in Lethbridge to Sylvan NW Calgary, and the entire transition process was absolutely flawless. Moving schools and adjusting children to a new environment can be stressful for any family, but the experience here exceeded our expectations. The director was amazing throughout the process. She was professional, supportive, organized, and genuinely caring from the very beginning. She made the transfer smooth and ensured that both parents and kids felt comfortable and welcomed. The teachers are equally amazing. They are patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and…

My daughter has been attending Sylvan for six months to help with reading, and I’m very pleased with her progress. She is now reading at grade level, and I can already see her confidence growing. I look forward to seeing her continue to improve with the extra support Sylvan provides.

We’re so thankful for Sylvan’s support. I love that they begin with an assessment to understand each child’s learning needs and personalize the program accordingly. My son started from scratch and has shown amazing progress—he now knows how to write and is beginning to read. He’s definitely ready for kindergarten! He loves learning, though he sometimes gets frustrated when things get hard—but that’s part of the journey. I want to thank all the teachers who supported and were so patient with him. Your work truly means a lot. Keep doing what you do!

My G4 kid had been in a struggle with writing since G2, and it was his school teachers who let me know about how he feels about writing. He didn't even talk about it at home. We tried 4 different writing prompt books, and spent an year with different institutions that didn't make any difference. HE HATED WRITING. Then I started Sylvan. Within few weeks, I saw him enjoys to come here for learning. I asked why he likes Sylvan, and he mentioned that the instructors really break down the concepts when he doesn't understand and that helps him a lot. He brought his writing from school few days ago,…

They really heped our son catch up in school. In a few session he did, his teacher said he was improving a lot. They also helped our son build his confidence.

Our daughter really struggled starting in grade 2 when Covid interrupted our lives and she had to switch to emergency at home schooling. Despite our wishes the school advanced her to grade 3, where she fell further behind. We tried to help her, get her to practice reading and math with us at home…. But we aren’t teachers and she resented us and hated it, and would put forward minimal effort. We knew- after the interruptions of Covid for that school year as well- that the school would just advance her to grade 4 no matter what and we were not going to let her start off behind if we could. We t…

The Ranchlands Sylvan facility has made an incredible impact on our family. Our boys have learned so much and continue to improve with every session. The Director at the centre has been wonderfully accommodating and helps us out whenever she can, we’re so appreciative. I would definitely recommend the sylvan learning centre to anyone whose children need learning support.

My daughter has grown so much through sylvan NW Calgary! Her confidence has increased, learning has increased thanks to the amazing teachers/instructors they have working with them. This is Her third year with sylvan and we will continue to use this program throughout the rest of her school career. Also during COVID-19 we started doing online training and it has been amazing. We have recently moved to New Brunswick and we continue to do the training online even from here! It is totally awesome and we are so grateful to be able to learn even from far away. Thank you Sylvan

This is an amazing program, my daughter has come such a far way from where she was a few years ago! Her confidence level has gone up and she now feels confident advocating for herself in school. Her learning has increased and she actually loves to go to sylvan and learn online. Thank you for your awesome help and amazing Teachers/Instructors. Ann who is the director at Ranchlands Sylvan is awesome, friendly, very helpful and is always there when you need her. Thank you Sylvan

Admin and instructors and responsive and flexible. My son feels he is actually learning something and he retains it and can transfer it to other aspects of his schooling.

My daughter is in grade 6 and started Sylvan just over a month ago for math help. When she was assessed by Sylvan, we discovered that she was two grade levels behind her peers. No wonder she was frustrated and hating school. She had just received a failing grade for her fall report card. We are 6 weeks in and already I have noticed a change in her attitude. She actually LIKES math (I never thought I would say that) and looks forward to going to Sylvan because she feels supported and enjoys the one on one, patient and compassionate attention that she gets from the instructors. Her confidence i…

This place is great. Our son goes there three times a week for 10 months. He improved dramatically. Ann, the director of this centre, is fantastic. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. Teachers are great too. Our son enjoys going there. I highly recommend this place if your kids are behind at school or have ADD.
