As Center Director, Annette leads all aspects of the parent and student experiences at the center. She leads the team by focusing on setting educational goals and schedule management. Annette chose a career in the tutoring business because of the joy in seeing students' confidence grow, and she has been with Sylvan for over 20 years! She has a degree from the University of Wisconsin -Stout and when she is not at work she enjoys her family and family pet Obi!
As a teacher at Sylvan, Kristen truly enjoys working with students of all ages in both Reading and Math. Kristen has always been passionate about education and has dreamed of becoming a teacher since she was very young. She has two teaching licenses which are in 5-12 Social Studies, and Elementary education. Kristen chose a career tutoring through Sylvan because, like Sylvan, she believes that education should be individualized for the child. When she is not tutoring at Sylvan, you will find Kristen enjoying time with her husband and two kitties or family and friends. She also enjoys reading, spreading love of literacy, Harry Potter, crafting, and knitting.
Lisa has been working for Sylvan in different capacities for 27 years. As an instructor, Lisa enjoys watching students make connections between what they are learning at Sylvan and what they are working on at school. It makes her happy to see them reach their goals and achieve academic success. Lisa is a former Sylvan parent and knows first hand how Sylvan inspires the love of learning. Lisa has licenses in Elementary Education and English 7-12. She also holds certifications in Middle School Language Arts and Coaching. Currently, she is a teacher with Richfield Public Schools. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, painting and gardening.
As an Elementary School Teacher for almost 19 years, Lindsey truly enjoys teaching students and fostering positive relationships with families. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, as well as a K-6 Reading License. She then continued her graduate studies for a Master’s in Education at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She has gone on to complete additional coursework at Hamline University with a classroom certification in English Language Learners. When she isn’t working, you will find her happy at home with her pet bunny, taking walks with friends, and cherishing time with her family.
