Louisiana has invested over $30 million to bring high-dosage tutoring into the school day for K–5 students who need it most. Sylvan is a state-approved Accelerate provider — and we’re ready to partner with your district to deliver results.

What Is Accelerate: High-Dosage Tutoring?

Passed through Act 771 of the 2024 Louisiana Legislative Session, Accelerate requires school-day embedded tutoring for K–5 students performing below proficiency in reading and math. Funding is allocated to districts based on the number of eligible students, and districts select from a state-approved vendor list to deliver the program. Tutoring must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 3 sessions per week, approximately 30 minutes each
• At least 10 weeks in duration
• Small-group instruction with a maximum 1:4 tutor-to-student ratio
• Ongoing progress monitoring and assessment
