Certified teachers, local school know-how, and a director who reviews every student’s plan personally. These are the people your child will high-five on the way in.
With 23 years in education as a teacher, school administrator, and now Director of Sylvan Learning Center, I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and discover their strengths. Born and raised in New Orleans, I am proud to serve the community that helped shape who I am. As a parent, book lover, and lifelong learner, I believe learning should be engaging, encouraging, and fun. When I’m not working with students, I enjoy reading, cooking/eating, visiting museums, social justice work, traveling, and learning about new cultures. I love helping every child reach their full potential while fostering a lifelong love of learning.
As an administrative assistant, Krista helps ensure our operations run smoothly alongside her Center Director, Sherean. A former assistant in the Office of Residential Living at Nicholls State in Thibodaux, Krista brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan of Harvey. She graduated from Nicholls State University. When Krista isn't at Sylvan, you'll find her out and about around New Orleans or cozied up inside with her three cats and dog.
