Meet the Augusta team

Mr. Daniel is a GaPSC Certified teacher with a Master’s in Early Childhood Education and nine years of teaching experience in the CSRA. He is a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who brings discipline, structure, and a results-driven mindset to every tutoring session. He is prepared to meet students where they are and guide them toward meaningful academic growth. Mr. Daniel's experience allows him to deliver personalized learning plans that build and strengthen foundational skills and confidence. Whether a student needs to catch up, keep up, or get ahead, Mr. Daniel is committed to their success both inside and outside the classroom.

Ms. Mash is an Army veteran and Army spouse with a Bachelor's in Space Studies from AMU. She is a Sylvan Certified Teacher with nine years teaching middle and high school math and science in private education. She specializes in math from Algebra to Pre-Calculus and in science from Biology and Chemistry to Physics. She also serves as one of our select Sylvan Prep teachers, tutoring ACT/SAT and ASVAB. If Ms. Mash is not on the schedule, she is probably on vacation at Disney!

Ms. Rachelle is a GaPSC Certified teacher with a Bachelor's in History and Master's in Education. She is a retired teacher from the CSRA with over 24 years of experience. As a Lead Teacher, Ms. Rachelle often works with littles and supports our teaching staff with her knowledge and expertise of Sylvan's systems and methods.

Mr. Austin is an Augusta University graduate with a Bachelor's in Ecology. He is a Sylvan Certified Teacher specialized in tutoring Math, SAT/ACT, ASVAB, and Homework Support for Science. Mr. Austin spends his free time in nature and with his two cats, Peepa and Jasper.

Mrs. Karen has served as a vital member of Sylvan of Augusta's administrative staff since 2024. Before helping us keep our ducks in a row, she worked in education as a paraprofessional in Florida for over 25 years. She is a mom of three and enjoys reading and crafts in her spare time.

Born and raised in Michigan, Ms. Lacey moved to the CSRA in 2024 with her partner and their three children. When she's not proctoring assessments and greeting students, Ms. Lacey enjoys spending time with family, from going to the gym together to doing arts and crafts on camping trips.
