Evelyn Ulloa is an experienced executive director with a background in marketing and communications. Her true passion lies in helping students achieve their academic goals and personal growth. She saw the opportunity to make a real impact on young lives. She now leads as the Director of the Sylvan Learning Center in North Miami/Aventura, where she is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for students to thrive. Evelyn believes in the power of personalized learning plans and individual attention. She knows that academic success isn’t just about teaching facts but also about building confidence and a love for learning. Evelyn stays updated with the latest educational trends to ensure the Sylvan Learning Center remains innovative and effective. Her career is driven by a deep belief in the life-changing potential of education, making her a standout leader in the field.

Ani Burgos

Administrator

Meet Ani Burgos, our vibrant Center Administrator at Sylvan Learning of North Miami/Aventura! With a Master’s degree in Science from the University of Central Florida, Ani brings both heart and expertise to everything she does. She’s passionate about education and works hard to make sure every student feels safe, supported, and excited to learn. When she’s not at Sylvan, Ani’s either out walking her adorable puppy or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen.

Juan Nuñez

Lead Tutor - Math and Reading

My name is Juan Nuñez and I am a tutor at the Sylvan Learning Center of North Miami/Aventura teaching Math, Reading, and Writing. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences. I am a fan of all things math and I enjoy guiding students through these concepts with examples to ultimately help with their self-confidence and their academic development.”

Kenny Noel

Tutor - Math, Reading and Science

Meet Kenny, our seasoned educator with over 8 years of experience in teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies in Florida. Since joining Sylvan in 2020, Kenny has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to addressing specific student needs. A graduate of Barry University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Pre-Medical Biology, Kenny is certified in Biology 6-12, English for speakers of other languages, and Elementary Education K-6.His passion for education is evident in his dynamic teaching style, fostering an environment where students not only grasp challenging concepts but also develop a genuine love for learning.

Melanie Norris

Tutor - Reading and Writing

Melanie Norris is a dedicated tutor located in Aventura, FL, known for her exceptional ability to connect with and inspire children. She possesses a wide range of tutoring skills, but her true passion lies in the realms of reading and writing education. Melanie also contributes to the Miami County School system as a US History teacher, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for the subject to her students.
Melanie’s commitment to education and her enthusiasm for helping children reach their full potential make her a valuable asset to her students and the community.

Omar Rodriguez

Tutor - Math and Reading

Omar Rodriguez is a Math and reading tutor at Sylvan Learning in Aventura, FL with a gift for working with students from K to 12th grade. While Omar has many tutoring talents, he finds the greatest joy in Math tutoring. He studied Economics at Andrés Bello Catholic University In Venezuela. When Omar isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him enjoying a day at the beach enjoying some Venezuelan food.

Alexandra Benhaim

Tutor - Math and Reading

Alexandra Benhaim is in her final year at Florida International University, pursuing a degree in Art Performance. Her creative background as a jazz singer and performer gives her a unique ability to connect with students and bring learning to life. Alexandra has a natural talent for working with children who need a bit of extra support, and she thrives on helping them build confidence and succeed. Her warmth, patience, and passion for education make her an incredible asset to our Sylvan Learning team.

Cynthia Granados

Tutor - Early Literacy

Cynthia Granados is a dedicated Early Literacy Instructor with a passion for nurturing young minds. With extensive experience as an elementary teacher aide, Cynthia has spent years fostering a love for reading and learning in children. Her background in early childhood education equips her with the skills and knowledge to create engaging and effective literacy programs.

Cynthia believes in the power of early literacy to transform lives and is committed to helping each child reach their full potential. Her approach is student-centered, focusing on creating a supportive and enriching environment that encourages curiosity and growth. Outside of the classroom, Cynthia enjoys reading, exploring new teaching methods, and participating in outdoor activities.

Samuel Pap
