Allen Peoples

Center Director / Owner

As Center Director, Allen makes sure every family at Sylvan of Lone Tree gets the right teacher, the right schedule, and support that actually moves the needle for their student. A former high school math teacher turned analyst, Allen chose a career in the tutoring business to get back into education and doing work he found meaningful. He studied Mathematics at Metro State University. When Allen isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him out trail running. 

Em

Instructor

Meet Em, one of our friendly tutors in Lone Tree, CO! She has a natural talent for connecting with kids and helping them grow more confident as readers. Em especially enjoys reading tutoring and loves seeing students strengthen their skills with every lesson. She studied at Arapahoe Community College and is dedicated to creating a positive and encouraging learning experience. When she’s not at Sylvan, Em enjoys drawing and sketching and finding creative inspiration both in and out of the classroom. 

Zoe

We’d like you to get to know Zoe, one of our enthusiastic tutors in Lone Tree, CO! She enjoys helping students build confidence through SAT prep and homework support while keeping each session encouraging and engaging. Zoe has a natural ability to connect with kids and enjoys seeing them grow as they work toward their academic goals. She studied at Montana State University and brings a positive attitude to every tutoring session. When she’s not at Sylvan, Zoe enjoys relaxing with her favorite “so-bad-they’re-good” cooking shows and having a good laugh. 

Here’s a little about Chris, a friendly tutor at our Lone Tree, CO location! He enjoys helping students grow their skills and feel more confident in their learning. Chris has a special interest in reading and writing and loves supporting students as they strengthen these important skills. He studied at Ohio State and enjoys encouraging students as they work toward their goals. Outside of Sylvan, Chris spends his time cheering on his son at chess competitions and supporting his love of the game. 

Laura

Introducing Laura, one of our caring tutors in Lone Tree, CO! She has a special talent for connecting with students and helping them feel confident as they learn. Laura especially enjoys teaching reading and writing, encouraging students to strengthen their skills and develop a love of learning. She studied at Metro State University and is dedicated to helping every student succeed. When she’s not at Sylvan, Laura enjoys spending time in her garden, growing flowers and plants and enjoying the outdoors. 

Ben

Get to know Ben, one of our dedicated tutors in Lone Tree, CO! He enjoys supporting students with SAT prep and homework while helping them build confidence along the way. Ben has a natural ability to connect with kids and create a positive learning environment where they feel encouraged to succeed. He studied at Michigan Technological University and is passionate about helping students reach their goals. When he’s not at Sylvan, Ben enjoys lapidary, carefully carving and polishing stones into unique creations. 

Katie

We’re happy to introduce Katie, one of our enthusiastic tutors in Lone Tree, CO! She has a wonderful way of helping students feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. Whether she’s working on reading skills or helping students build confidence in math, Katie brings patience and encouragement to every session. She studied at Colorado Mesa University and enjoys helping students discover what they’re capable of. Outside of Sylvan, Katie can often be found competing in Frisbee events with her dog and enjoying the adventure together. 

Sumner

With her warm personality and ability to connect with kids, Sumner creates an encouraging environment where students can grow. She studied at the University of Colorado in Denver and brings her passion for education to every tutoring session. When she’s not at Sylvan, you’ll likely find her exploring the outdoors on a backpacking adventure.
