Meet the Vacaville team

Harleen has led Sylvan Learning to thrive through her passion for education, student success, and community impact. Raised in Punjab, India, and later relocating to San Jose, California, Harleen developed a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Educational Studies (Early Childhood Education) and an Associate's degree in Liberal Studies. With more than a decade of experience in education, Harleen is dedicated to helping students reach their full academic potential. Her expertise allows her to develop personalized learning strategies that meet each child's unique needs and learning style. As the Executive Director of Sylvan Learning Centers serving Walnut Creek, Napa, Fairfield, and Vacaville, Harleen is committed to creating positive educational experiences that build confidence, inspire growth, and support lifelong success. When she is not at Sylvan, Harleen enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, staying active through fitness and yoga, caring for her dog and cat, nurturing her plant collection, and expressing her creativity through coloring and making special memories with loved ones. Peter is an administrator and tutor her at Sylvan Vacaville. He has a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Master's in Library and Information Science. In his free time, Peter enjoys reading, keeping up with current events, video games, and spending time with his dogs!

Brandon has over half a decade of experience working in education; he is a valued member of our team both as a teach and administrator. He has more than three years of experience working with children with special needs, and has a BA in Psychology. His goal has always been to create a fun and engaging learning environment for students of all ages and abilities.

My name is Anna Gabrielle Marquez. I graduated from California State University Sacramento in 2023 with a Bachelor's in Psychology. I enjoy working with students and helping them reach success, so much that I'm back at California State University Sacramento currently working towards a master's degree in School Counseling. My hope is to work with students and help them navigate any obstacles they may face while in K-12. Aside from working with students, I enjoy all things Disney, traveling, reading, cooking, baking and playing with my dog, Koko.

Doug Cox has a Bachelor’s Degree from San Francisco State University in Broadcast Communication Arts. He worked in the music industry for 17 years. He decided to further his education in Mathematics at Sacramento State University. In his spare time Doug likes to read, watch movies, spend time with grandchildren, and listen to music

Dale attends San Francisco State University and is majoring in Business Administration and Management. Dale teaches all subjects here at Sylvan. In her free time, she is an avid tabletop gamer and convention goer. Dale also loves picking up new game systems and playing them with her family and friends.

Hi, I'm Sheridan. I am one of the beginning reading tutors at Sylvan Vacaville. I have a love for teaching and learning new things and try to impart that on my students. I am also a huge nerd who loves video games and comics, but I am equally a fan of classic literature and crafting.

Cheyney is a world traveler who has spent over 4 years abroad living and traveling in over 2 dozen countries. He has taught in South Korea and at university in China. He enjoys backpacking, rock climbing, canyoneering, and has toured the US playing disc golf professionally. Hobbies include fitness, cooking, reading and writing.
