Sylvan is very helpful with all subjects. We’ve tried a few places for tutoring and they’ve been the most helpful by far. Highly recommended for any grade!

Sylvan has been a warm and caring environment for my son. He feels comfortable learning and doing homework there. School can be challenging for him, especially in large classes. At Sylvan, he knows he is always welcome, and it is one of the few places where he feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of learning. All of the staff are well-educated and kind teachers who go above and beyond to meet the kids where they need to be met. They keep us updated on our son’s progress, help us strategize how to support him through the tough times, and even communicate directly with…

All three of my kids really enjoy and benefit from their time with Sylvan. I have been very impressed by how it’s run, by the amazing tutors who are kind, patient and knowledgable. Everyone who I have worked with has made a great impression on me and I feel my kids are benefiting from the structured learning that they are receiving here.

Sylvan Rosedale has been wonderful with my daughter. The staff are very kind, supportive, and patient, and she has become much more confident with her reading. I’ve noticed real progress, and her teachers at school have as well. I’m so grateful for the care and dedication they put into helping her succeed.

My son attended classes for about a year at the Rosedale location in Toronto to improve his writing skills particularly in improving legibility of handwriting, better understanding of proper punctuation, spelling and eventually planning paragraph composition. He also moved on to some math work as the year went on. The office keeps lesson plans organized and tracks progress. They also took my feedback regarding particular aspects to focus on and advised on optional practice that could be done at home. With this hard work and support, my son's skills improved significantly over one year. He was…

My 9 year old daughter joined Sylvan after struggling to connect with the standardized curriculum and larger class sizes offered by other extra-curricular academic options. After only a few lessons we began to see the positive impact. Sylvan's value for our daughter is the more direct engagement with the tutors to ensure continuous progress through a curriculum tailored to her level and rate of development. This continuous access to the tutors is such a valuable and refreshing differentiator from her time with other options (and her time at school). My daughter has thrived at Sylvan! She talk…

My daughter was a back-bencher for years at school, and we enrolled her at Sylvan Rosedale about two years back. Now she is a top performer and got early acceptance to a few universities with scholarships.

I am so glad I enrolled my granddaughter at Sylvan Learning of Rosedale. The teachers are excellent. My granddaughter started at Sylvan as a non reader and now she can read with confidence. Excellent experience. Very professional.
