Meet the Georgetown team

With over 14 years of teaching experience, Ashi holds both a Master's and a Ph.D. in English Literature. Passionate about literature and its transformative power, she inspires students to explore diverse texts and develop critical thinking skills. Ashi’s engaging teaching methods create an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment, encouraging students to express their ideas confidently. She believes in nurturing a love for reading and writing, equipping her students with the tools they need for academic success and personal growth. Outside the classroom, Ashi enjoys exploring classic literature and sharing her insights through writing workshops and community events.

Brooke-Lynn is an OCT-certified teacher who recently graduated with her Bachelor of Education from Wilfrid Laurier University. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science from Western University, with an Honours Specialization in Rehabilitation Sciences, in 2022. Brooke-Lynn believes in the importance of meeting students where they are in their learning journey and building connections with them so they feel supported in their academics. When she is not teaching, Brooke-Lynn likes to read, go camping, and spend time with her friends, family, and her dog Lainey.

Kaelin is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Applied Math and minoring in both Computer Science and Business at the University of Toronto. A Christ the King C.S.S graduate, Kaelin has valuable experience as an instructor through in-class and volunteer-based tutoring programs. Kaelin enjoys making math fun for students of all ages - whether it be peers at university or younger cousins in grade school. Kaelin loves to teach Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology to highschool students. When not studying, Kaelin is often found curled up with a good book or on her sewing machine!

Laura is an OCT-certified teacher with 20+ years of experience working for the Peel District School Board. She has a broad range of teaching expertise, ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 10, as well as Special Education, French and ESL instruction. Laura believes firmly in the importance of early literacy intervention to help students secure those lifelong decoding and comprehension skills. She works hard to foster positive relationships with her students that create a deep sense of belonging and mutual respect. When she is not teaching, Laura is attending her son's football games, going on long drives and Starbucks runs with her daughter, reading a good book, and spending time with her friends, family, and her dogs Wyatt and Luna.
