As a Centre Director, Alexia leads the amazing teaching team at Sylvan of West Edmonton, as well as overseeing the operations of the centre. With a Bachelor’s degree in progress, focusing on biological sciences and psychology at Athabasca University, Alexia brings a deep understanding of learning to her role. This allows her to effectively promote a growth mindset and cultivate a fun and effective learning environment, ensuring every student at Sylvan achieves their best.
Ayesha Junaid

Ayesha is a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Alberta, pursuing a Bachelor of Science. While her expertise lies in coaching students in mathematics and science subjects, she enjoys teaching the Sylvan programs equally. Ayesha joined Sylvan because she sees teaching as a way to give back to the amazing community of teachers who helped her throughout her educational journey.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, and is currently pursuing an after-degree in Education. Lauren’s approach focuses on creating personalized learning experiences that help students build confidence, master key skills, and foster a lasting love of learning.
