Lisa Augustinyak
Director of Education
Lisa oversees the integrity of our programs, managing and training our team of tutors in Danville. A current 5th grade teacher in Pittsylvania County. Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan of Danville. She graduated from St. Xavier University with a BA in Elementary Education in 2007. In 2009, Lisa received her Master’s Degree in Reading and is a VDOE certified Reading Specialist. When Lisa isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her reading, crafting and watching Netflix with her two dogs.
Jeannette
Center Director in Lynchburg
As Center Director, Jeannette strives to ensure every child’s individual academic needs are met by qualified tutors at Sylvan of Lynchburg and Danville. A former teacher and school administrator, Jeannette chose a career in the tutoring business because of her passion for education and desire to help children reach their full potential. She studied at Christopher Newport University. When Jeannette isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her reading a book under a canopy of trees with a cup of coffee.
