Our tutors and staff in Lehi consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Lehi know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Lynne Hudson
Executive Director/Owner
Lynne brings 20+ years of education and business experience to the Sylvan Learning locations she owns in both Salt Lake and Utah counties. Lynne has been a leader in a variety of industries including personnel and supplemental education. It is Lynne’s love of education and helping students realize their full potential that led her to Sylvan. When not at our centers, you are likely to find Lynne spending time with family and friends, hiking and enjoying time in the beautiful outdoors.

Bri Johnson
Center Director
Bri is the Center Director for Sylvan of Lehi/Orem. She has been a valuable member of our team for several years, starting her Sylvan career as the Assistant Center Director in Riverton. She then moved to her role of Area Assistant Director and now Center Director.
Bri knew education was the path for her from an early age, She has always been inspired by teachers, educators, and mentors in her life and decided early that she wanted to be that influential person for others.

Lisa Martin
Director of Education
Lisa oversees the educational integrity of our programs, managing and training our team of tutors in Lehi/Orem. A former teacher in Chicago, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. Lisa understands that no one learns the same way, and she adapts quickly to the needs of our students. When Lisa isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her gardening, traveling, scrapbooking, collecting antiques and reading about American History.

Kayla Johnson
Assistant Center Director
Kayla is an energetic, creative director with a drive for knowledge. She believes that there is nothing more valuable than the power of education. Kayla has loved working with children in the past and could not be more happy to be back in a position where she has the opportunity to impact our students! Outside of work, you can find her onstage performing Musical Theatre or snuggling up with her cat, Nova, reading a binge-worthy book series. Kayla can’t wait to see you at Sylvan!

Shellie
Instructor
Shellie has a gift for working with children. While she has many talents, her greatest joy is teaching young children how to read. When Shellie is not at Sylvan, she likes to be snuggled up on the couch with a good book with company from her new kitten.

Amber
Instructor
Amber teaches in our Lehi and Orem centers. She loves teaching at Sylvan because she cares about the value of education and likes helping students see success. She has her Bachelors of Science from BYU. When Amber is not at Sylvan, her hobbies include learning Spanish, cooking, knitting, reading, and gardening. She believes children are likely to live up to what you believe of them.

Niki
Instructor
Niki has earned her degree from Utah Valley University. In teaching, her fulfillment comes from helping kids unlock their full potential. She enjoys being a student in life, has many interests, and knows the importance of developing a child’s love of learning. When Niki isn’t teaching Sylvan students she keeps busy in the great outdoors. She especially likes hiking and boating.

Xela
Instructor
Xela has earned both her BS and MS from BYU. She believes it’s so important to learn as much as we can to both improve ourselves and make positive contributions to the world. She caught the teaching bug in college where she spent time as a teaching assistant in grad school. She discovered her love of helping others learn. She likes playing tennis and pickleball, reading, and watching movies. Her favorite quote is by Benjamin Franklin – “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”

Daniel
Instructor
Daniel is a dedicated educator and currently teaches at a local college prepatory academy. He enjoys the small group culture here at Sylvan, allowing for more personalized teaching time with each student. Daniel earned his degree from Embry-Riddle University. Outside of teaching, Daniel likes to spend time playing trading card games and board games with his family and friends.

Chase
Instructor
Chase grew up in Utah County and attended Westlake High School, UVU, and University of Utah. He comes from a family of educators and has followed in their footsteps. Chase teaches math and coaches both track and cross country. When he isn’t teaching, Chase likes playing sports, video games, and studying psychology.

Brightyn
Instructor
Brightyn believes educating the future generation is one of the most powerful things we can do for them. Teachers in her life had a big impact on her as she was growing up and knowing that she could help others in the same way is what led her to getting her degree in Education. Brightyn is an avid reader. She also values being with family and friends in her free time.
