Susan Bullock

Center Director

Susan has worked for Sylvan for over 20 years. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. She also attended Lamar University where she earned her master’s in Educational Leadership. Susan is certified to teach Elementary Education. Susan also spent several years as an assistant principal in public schools. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with family & friends as well as gardening, antiquing, and spending time with her two dogs. At Sylvan, Susan loves to see kids achieve their goals and is dedicated to their success.

Nisha Gosar

Director of Education

Nisha is a teacher at Sylvan Learning of the Woodlands and Magnolia who has a passion for learning, growing, and molding the future of tomorrow. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Mathematics from University of Houston. Outside of teaching, Nisha enjoys art and puzzles.

Chelsea Lee

Associate Director of Education

Chelsea obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Baylor University. She has previously worked in Katy ISD as a teacher. Chelsea is very enthusiastic and worked as a manager for Disney prior to entering the field of education. She loves working with kids and watching them come alive as they learn. In her free time she works on furthering her education and listening to oldies on vinyl.

Marlena Johns

Certified Teacher

Marlena graduated with her bachelor’s in Education from the University of Houston, She has been teaching for over 20 years here in the Spring/Tomball area. She is proud of all the children she has helped grow academically. Marlena is a published author of four books. She also helps teach writing workshops for people who want to become authors.

Riya Maredian

Certified Teacher

Riya Maredian earned a Degree in Early Childhood through 6^th Grade Generalist in Teaching from the University of Houston. Her desire to make an impact on the lives of children led her to a career in education. When not teaching, Riya enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and volunteering at her church.

Micah Watt

Certified Mathematics Teacher

Micah is a tutor at Sylvan with a gift for working with children. While Micah has many tutoring talents, he finds the greatest joy in tutoring Math and Science. He fully adores helping others enjoy school and find the little successes. Micah enjoys sharing his knowledge while giving individualized attention to students. In his spare time, Micah enjoys learning about other cultures through travel and spending time with family and friends.

Saadia Kahn

Certified Teacher

Saadia has been teaching and tutoring students for over twenty years. She loves helping students succeed and to see them get there is amazing! While Saadia has many tutoring talents, she loves teaching Reading and History. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family travelling

Lindsey Johnson

Certified Teacher

Lindsey loves teaching all things English and Science! While she has many tutoring talents, she really enjoys teaching reading, early math, and writing. Lindsey is a graduate of Sam Houston State University. Lindsey likes to spend her free time with her family doing activities together. She is an avid reader and movie-goer as well.

Yessica De Leon

Certified Teacher

Yessica De Leon is a graduate of Texas A & M University, Kingsville. She holds a Teaching Certificate in EC-6 and Bilingual Education EC-6. Yessica also earned a Masters of Bilingual Education. When not teaching, Ms. De Leon enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. Yessica’s love of children and expertise in education make her a perfect fit for Sylvan of West Spring and Klein.

Madeline Clark

Certified Teacher

Madeline Clark loves being someone who shows up for her students! She graduated from Western Governors University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-8) and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Biology Education. Ms. Clark also holds a Principal Certification from Lamar University. When not teaching, Madeline enjoys spending time with her children.

Kelvin Mays

Certified Mathematics Teacher

Kelvin Mays believes that education is a way to introduce children to their potential. He was inspired by great teachers, and he wants to instill that inspiration within his students. Kelvin received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston. He is currently certified in Science and Mathematics for grades 7th- 12th. Outside of Sylvan he loves reading young adult fiction and biography books. He is also an avid bowling enthusiast! Overall, Kelvin is passionately focused on building relationships based on kindness and respect.

Heather Houlihan

Certified Teacher

Heather Houlihan graduated from Iona University in New Rochelle, New York with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She also earned a Master of Education Degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. Heather became a teacher because she enjoys helping children learn and discover new things. But, most of all, she finds teaching to be rewarding. When not teaching, Ms. Heather enjoys watching baseball, going to the beach, traveling, and playing with her cats.

Alisha Slater

Certified Teacher

Alisha Slater is a graduate of University of South Florida with her bachelor’s in education and Spanish. She obtained her master’s in law from St. Thomas University. She has had over thirty years working with students in a variety of tutoring programs. She has a huge heart for kids learning. Her passion is showing kids fun and exciting ways to learn. When not teaching she loves exploring outdoors and reading in her free time.

Lynn Jamail

Certified Teacher

Lynn is a certified English Language Arts teacher who studied at the University of Texas at Austin. She began teaching after a teacher inspired her to pursue her passion and make an impact on students. Outside of Sylvan, Lynn enjoys cooking, gardening, and reading.

Ryan Hillis

Certified Mathematics Teacher

Ryan is an enthusiastic tutor who is passionate about relating to students as he shares his joy for mathematics. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He is currently teaching Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Robotics programs for high schoolers. Ryan has an analytical mind while always being authentic and patient with his students. In his free time, Ryan enjoys anime, basketball and football.

Suzanne Mason

Certified Teacher

Suzie is a teacher at Sylvan Learning of West Spring who loves watching the growth of students and their confidence levels rise. She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from The University of Houston. Outside of teaching, Suzie enjoys sailing, woodworking, swimming, and gaming.
