Our tutors and staff in Addicks consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Addicks know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Abigail Trevino
Center Director
As Center Director, Abigail leads the Sylvan Learning Center at Addicks. She is passionate about helping children learn, build confidence, and be successful. Her motivating force to make a difference in children’s education is what drives her. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her niece, nephew, and friends, along with traveling.
Kirsten Crews
Director of Education
Mrs. Kirsten oversees the educational integrity of our programs, managing our team of tutors. She brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan of Addicks and experience in Education and management. She is committed to create personalized learning experiences that inspire students to soar.
Mirabelle Lemercier
Early Literacy Tutor
Ms. Mirabelle recently moved from France and is so excited to contribute to the Sylvan Learning of Addicks team. She has a passion for helping the students reaching their goals. She creates a welcoming and safe environment for the students. When not at Sylvan, you can find her gardening.
Sazan Ibrahim
Upper Level Math Tutor
Ms. Sazan holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Houston. Her ability to deliver information to the students in a way that is simple and easy for all students to understand. For Ms. Sazan tutoring is not only material or curriculum based. It is about impacting and inspiring students overall. When not at tutoring you can find Ms. Sazan reading books, journaling, and spending time with her loved ones.
Eronda Menifee
Reading Tutor
Ms. Eronda brings a vast knowledge of the Texas Education System. She has years of experience with students who have accommodations. Her positive attitude and adaptive nature leads her mission to support all students with academic success.
Iris Cinara
Early Literacy Tutor
Ms. Iris graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in English Literature. She has been a teacher for Sylvan for 15 years with a specialty in phonics. She has a passion to serve others and what drives her is seeing the children smile. In her spare time she enjoys life through traveling and eating diverse foods that Houston has to offer.
