Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in North Fort Worth know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Andrea Quila Bourgault
Executive Director/Owner
Andrea, is a Certified Management Accountant and former finance college professor. She is happily married to her best friend and business partner, she is also a mother of 2 beautiful kids. She loves spending time with her family and traveling.
As an owner she dedicates herself to managing the business and ensuring the Sylvan center of NFW provides the best service to their territory.

Tori Troutman
Center Director
As a director, Tori helps lead and facilitate the operations and management of Sylvan of North Fort Worth. Tori chose a career here at Sylvan because of her background in elementary education and her passion to see children reach their fullest academic potential. She graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. When Tori isn’t at Sylvan, she enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her friends, and trying out new restaurants in Fort Worth!

Robert Hamilton
Center Director
Robert is excited to be part of the Director team here at Sylvan Learning Center of North Fort Worth. Originally a California native, he is now exploring all that Texas has to offer. After a few years in telecom sales and retail management, Robert spent over 16 years in the afterschool industry as a program director, supervising the quality and compliance of school-based partnership programs. He holds a BA in Communication from UC Santa Barbara and is pursuing certificates in ministry. Robert is a proud husband, and father to five amazing children. He also owns backyard chickens. When not working to positively impact youth, Robert can be seen in community theater and supporting his local church. The most significant impact he hopes to make for Sylvan Learning is to increase brand awareness, broaden the scope of services, and further change young lives through high quality education.

Pierre Bourgault
Executive Director / Owner
Pierre is a Licensed Pharmacist with a business background. He is originally from Quebec, CA and recently moved to Texas. He has a passion for human development and believes every child deserves an opportunity to be confident and successful. Pierre studied music for over 30 years and enjoys family time with his wife and kids.
At Sylvan, he leads the operations of the North Fort Worth Center, improving operational processes to increase productivity, maintains quality standards and develops the company’s vision for the future.

Katherine Perez
Assistant Director
Katherine is so excited to join the North Fort Worth team as an Assistant Director. Katherine has a B.S. in Child Development from Texas Woman’s University and has a background in working with children with a variety of learning needs. She has been married to her husband for four years and is a proud mom to an amazing toddler. Katherine loves working with families and seeing her students succeed. In her free time she enjoys cooking and baking. Her family has a homestead where they raise goats and chickens. Katherine also loves to read and ride horses.
Ann Smith
Teacher
Ms. Ann moved to Texas in 2015 from New York. She is New York State certified and taught elementary and middle school, both public and private. She has a daughter in Texas and a son in colorado. When she’s not visiting them she belongs to three book clubs and is busy trying to keep up with her reading. She is currently a subsitute for Keller ISD and has been at Sylvan since 2017.
Dennise Combs
Teacher
Ms. Dennise has been with Sylvan since August of 2016. She has worked with kids her whole adult life. She has worked in child care and as an educational assistant. She earned her teaching certification in 1999. Ms. Dennise holds certifications for bilingual/ESL Spanish, early childhood, all levels of special education, and general elementary education. She currently works as a PreK bilingual teacher. Ms. Dennise is a twin and big fan of cinema, especially dramas.
James Trimble
Teacher
Mr. James has been teaching for 32 years in 5-8th grade math. He has a bachelors degree in elementary education and a master’s in K-12 administration. He has coached football, basketball, and baseball in middle and high school for nearly 20 years. When he’s not teaching Mr. James enjoys collecting antiques.
Kristina Colwell
Teacher
Ms. Kristina graduated with a B.S. in Social Sciences with secondary education certification and later added an elementary certification. Right after college, she started teaching junior high in Tennessee but switched to elementary grades when she moved to Texas six years later. She took a break from public education to homeschool her own children for a season. Ms. Kristina currently teaches elementary school in Keller ISD.
Keith Bulgerin
Teacher
Mr. Keith has been teaching for 21 years and specializes in math proficiency but also loves helping students grow in reading abilities. He enjoys the Sylvan platform because he has seen how much it helps students grow in both of these areas.
Lyndsey Tennant
Teacher
Ms. Lyndsey is in her 20th year of teaching. She holds certifications in early childhood all the way through 8th grade and is also ESL certified. She has a Master’s in education from St. Mary’s College of CA. Ms. Lyndsey loves to travel, she’s been to every state except Alaska! She is also a huge Disney Fan!
Michele Jones
Teacher
Ms. Michele has taught for 23 years, mostly in Keller ISD. She graduated from the University of North Texas. Working at Sylvan is a way for her to help students achieve confidence in and out of the classroom.
Melissa Wolfe
Teacher
Ms. Melissa has been teaching at Sylvan for 1 year. She is originally from Souther California and is a certified reading specialist. She loves teaching and thinks our Sylvan students are the best!
Susan Rogers
Teacher
Ms. Susan has a B.S. in Education from Texas Tech University. She tought 1st grade in Odessa for 5 years before moving to Fort Worth, where she worked as a subsitute teacher for Keller ISD while raising 3 children. She loves the variety of people she meets while substituting and working at Sylvan. She loves being out in nature and spending time with animals.
Binoya Bhatt
Teacher
Ms. Binoya comes from a family of teachers and loves helping others. She is currently pursuing her bachelors degree in Psychology. She is very grateful to be able to work so closely with the students at Sylvan because they remind her to laugh and see the brighter side of life.
