Our tutors and staff in Flower Mound consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Deborah Evans
Center Director
Deborah is proud to serve as the Center Director at Sylvan Learning, where she helps families and students achieve their academic goals. With a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Utah and years of classroom experience in K-8 Math and K-12 Reading and Writing, Deborah understands what it takes to support learners of all ages.
Outside of Sylvan, Deborah values family time, travel adventures, and relaxing by the pool. She’s also her daughter’s biggest fan on the golf course.
Laurie Dugger
Administrative Office Manager
Laurie is the heart of our front office at Sylvan Learning, bringing over 20 years of administrative and office management experience to our team. With her attention to detail, friendly personality, and commitment to creating a welcoming environment for families, Laurie helps keep our center running smoothly every day.
When she’s not at Sylvan, Laurie loves spending time with her husband and two boys. She also enjoys tending to her vegetable garden, putting together puzzles, and relaxing by the beach.
Sara Bratton
Certified Tutor
Sara brings a wealth of experience to Sylvan Learning of Flower Mound, where she teaches Math, including Algebra I & II, Geometry, and SAT/ACT prep. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Math Education. With 42 years of service in the public school system prior to her retirement, Sara is passionate about helping students succeed. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying active in her church and local community.
Dianna Moore
Certified Tutor
Dianna is an educator at Sylvan Learning of Flower Mound, where she works with students in K–8 reading and writing, as well as K–6 math. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree along with a Certification in Early Childhood Development. Dianna is passionate about nurturing a love of learning in her students and helping them build strong academic foundations. In her free time, she enjoys diving into science fiction novels and challenging herself with sudoku puzzles.
Mark and Melissa Overcash
Owners
Mark and Melissa Overcash are devoted advocates for education and community development. As the owners of Sylvan Learning and Class 101 locations in Mid-Cities, Alliance, and Flower Mound, they have dedicated their careers to empowering students and families through personalized academic support and college planning services. Beyond their professional endeavors, Mark and Melissa are proud parents of six children and grandparents to six grandchildren. Their deep love for family and their passion for helping others fuel their commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.
