Juliene Berezanskiy

Instructional Tutor

Juliene Berezanskiy is an educator with nearly a decade of teaching experience in secondary and higher education. Her teaching experience includes English language arts, writing, and academic support for learners with diverse needs. Outside the classroom, She enjoy reading books, watching series or movies, traveling, and art which help her stay creative and inspired. She believes every student can thrive with encouragement, personalized instruction, and a positive learning environment.

Allison Anderson

Instructional Tutor

As a proud graduate of Conroe ISD and Conroe High School, I have a strong connection to the local community and a passion for lifelong learning. My academic journey began at Lone Star College, where I earned my Associate’s Degree in 2017, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Pre-Law from Western Illinois University in 2019. I continued pursuing my love of history at the University of Houston, earning a Master’s Degree in U.S. History in 2023.

I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and discover a love for learning. My background in history, research, and critical thinking allows me to connect with students in meaningful ways and help them achieve their educational goals.

When I’m not working with students, my husband and I enjoy putting our knowledge to the test by competing in local Trivia Night competitions around Conroe. We love the challenge, friendly competition, and the opportunity to keep learning something new every day!

Kelena Walker

Instructional Tutor

Hi! I’m Kelena Walker, and I’m a retired educator with more than 25 years of experience helping students learn, grow, and build confidence. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University, a master’s degree from Lamar University, and a writing certification from Bowling Green State University. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about helping students strengthen their reading and writing skills while developing a lifelong love of learning.

When I’m not working with students, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two adult children. Our home is filled with three lovable dogs and plenty of chickens that keep us stocked with fresh eggs! We also love to travel and have explored many destinations around the world. Whether we’re visiting museums, discovering historical landmarks, or simply relaxing by the water, we’re always excited to learn something new and create lasting memories.

Lori Mitchell

Instructional Tutor

Hi! I’m Lori Mitchell, and I have over 40 years of experience teaching and tutoring mathematics. I earned both my Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Chemistry, and my Master’s Degree in Education from Sam Houston State University.

During my career, I taught in Conroe ISD and Willis ISD, where I taught everything from middle school math to AP Calculus and Dual Credit college courses. I have also taught College Algebra and Trigonometry at Lone Star College–Montgomery and now enjoy helping students succeed as a tutor at Sylvan Learning.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy staying active by participating in charity runs, reading, traveling, and tackling jigsaw puzzles. I love helping students build confidence, strengthen their math skills, and reach their full potential.

Renitta Thomas

Director

Hi! I’m Renitta Thomas, a proud Houston native with a passion for helping students succeed. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Sam Houston State University and my Master’s in Education from the University of Redlands.

I have taught middle school science in Aldine ISD, Cy-Fair ISD, and Houston ISD, where I enjoyed inspiring students to become curious, confident learners. My commitment to education led me to extend my impact beyond the traditional classroom so I could help even more students reach their academic goals.

My husband is a retired United States Marine after 22 years of service, and we are proud parents of three sons. Two of our sons have followed in their father’s footsteps by joining the United States Marine Corps, while our youngest is currently attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

When I’m not working with students, I enjoy all things that are outdoors, serving my community, and helping families find the support their children need to build confidence, develop strong academic skills, and achieve lasting success.
