STEPHANY ZAPATA

Executive Director

As Executive Director, Stephany works closely with the Center and Education Directors to ensure all families get the best service and all students get the best education possible. Stephany is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Secondary Education. Stephany also holds a teaching certification in 8-12 Mathematics. Stephany has over 15 years of experience with supplemental education. When Stephany isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her playing with her kids, cooking and traveling to where the beach is.

KIRAN KESHWANI

Center Director

As Center Director, Kiran helps with marketing and outreach to spread Sylvan’s mission across the territory. She believes each child has their own strengths and purely believes in the Sylvan program. Kiran oversees center operations in order to maintain quality assurance and credibility. Kiran is a DePaul University graduate with a major in Business. When Kiran is not at Sylvan, you will find her spending time with her family, playing badminton, or reading books. Kiran chose a career in the tutoring business because she identifies herself as a lifelong learner and loves to help children meet and surpass their academic goals.

Mehgan Mcgehee

Director

Mehgan is the Director at Sylvan of Allen and brings a strong background in business along with a deep passion for education. She oversees each child’s education program and keeps parents involved every step of the way.  She is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential while building lasting relationships with families in the community. Outside of Sylvan, Mehgan enjoys cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and attending live concerts.

Julie Johnson

Certified Tutor

Julie is a tutor at Sylvan of Allen who has a passion for helping students to feel confident and successful while learning subjects they find challenging. She holds a BS in Journalism from the University of Kansas. At Sylvan, Julie enjoys teaching Math, Reading, and Writing to PreK through 6th grade. When not at Sylvan, Julie works for Allen ISD and is a Behavior Therapist. Her free time is spent walking, reading, watching movies with her family, and raising puppies for Canine Companions, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance dogs for people with disabilities.

Julia Weston

CERTIFIED TUTOR

Julia is a tutor at Sylvan Learning of Allen and Plano. She holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Delta State College. She also holds a Lifetime Certificate from the state of Texas. She is certified to teach grades K through 8th. When not at Sylvan Julia loves to read anything non-fiction, loves to decorate and organize, and loves to tutor. She likes the personal aspect plus establishing a rapport with her students. She enjoys seeing the student progress and take pride in their work.

Liz Adkins

Certified Tutor

Liz holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University and brings a passion for helping students grow and succeed. She is married and has one son currently attending Texas State University. In her free time, Liz enjoys spending time with her family.

Bob Allen

Certified Tutor

Bob holds a B.A. in Business from Indiana University and an MBA in Economics from Ball State University. He brings a strong academic background and real-world insight to his tutoring, helping students build confidence and achieve their goals.
