Ginger Bechtold
Tutor - Sioux Falls
Ginger is a retired educator with a B.A. from SDSU and an extraordinary 49 years of teaching experience ranging from Pre-K all the way through high school. She now brings that lifetime of knowledge to her students at Sylvan, where reading and writing are her favorite subjects to work on.
Ginger has an unshakeable love for young people and the learning process — and after nearly five decades in education, that enthusiasm hasn’t dimmed one bit.
In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting and knitting. And if you need a conversation starter — she’s climbed to the top of Crazy Horse Mountain twice!
Pam Hatt
Tutor - Sioux Falls
Pam has been part of the Sylvan Learning team since 2019 and brings a one-of-a-kind background to her work — with degrees in Elementary Education and Computer Science and over 20 years of experience in IT. She’s taught preschool, worked in elementary classrooms, and loves helping kids push through the hard stuff. Her favorite subjects to tutor are ACT reading and English.
Pam believes every child deserves to feel like they can accomplish something, and that sense of achievement is what keeps her showing up every day. She genuinely enjoys watching students work hard and discover what they’re capable of.
Outside of Sylvan, Pam enjoys cross-stitching, reading, and weekly calls with her siblings — a tradition that started during Covid and stuck. She’s a proud mom of 2 and grandma of 5.

At Sylvan, Nick’s favorite part is getting to explore subjects outside the typical school curriculum — and building the kind of long-term relationships that let him be part of a student’s growth over many years.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys volleyball, watching Survivor, and spending time with his two cats.
