Meet Our Team

Brandi leads for Sylvan of Fort Mill. She has worked with various Sylvan locations since March of 2013. Brandi has a professional science master’s in biotechnology from the University of South Carolina. Brandi chose a career with Sylvan Learning because she loves helping kids in the community reach their goals. When Brandi is not at Sylvan you can find her fishing or traveling with her family.

Ms. Sharon is a Lead Tutor at Sylvan of Fort Mill. Ms. Sharon has an M.S. in Education from the State University of NY and is a Certified Master Teacher. Sharon’s teaching career has spanned 25 years. Since then, she has tutored privately, as well at four Sylvan locations. Sharon joined the Sylvan Fort Mill team in 2021. Sharon tutors Beginning Reading, Math, Academic Reading, Study Skills, Academic Writing, Advanced Reading, and SAT / ACT College Prep. Working with all ages and subjects makes the job exciting!

Qusel has worked with Sylvan since October of 2016. He graduated from Fayetteville State University where he obtained his degree in Math. Qusel has more than 20 years of teaching experience and has taught; Pre-calc, Advanced Functions and Modeling, Math 1, Math 2, Math 3, and Principals of Business and Finance. 

Ms. Tonya

Director

As a director of Sylvan Learning Center in Fort Mill, Tonya leads with integrity and compassion. Tonya has a strong background in education and mental health. When Tonya is not at the center, you can find her spending time with her yorkie, Lotte, and strengthening and educating families in the community.

Ms. Linda

Tutor

As a top-notch reading and writing tutor, Linda brought her skills to Sylvan of Fort Mill in Summer of 2021. She enjoys meeting people in the community at various events Sylvan attends and assessing new students. When Linda is not at Sylvan, you can find her spending time with her precious grandsons.

Ms. Nitya

Tutor

Nitya, a Clemson Graduate, enjoys helping her students set and reach their educational goals! Nitya joined Sylvan of Fort Mill in Fall of 2021 and enjoys teaching in all subjects, mathematics is her forte. She also enjoys helping her students find ways to study that work best for them. When Nitya is not in the center, you can find her spending time with friends and family.

Kim joined the Sylvan of Fort Mill in Spring of 2022. Kim has a degree in English and a M. Ed. in Literacy (Reading Specialist). She loves teaching students of all ages, but Kim has a passion for helping middle schoolers succeed in writing. When Ms. Kim is not at Sylvan, you can find her crafting, one of her many talents!
