Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Erie know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Brianna received her Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Mercyhurst University and joined Sylvan in 2018. Brianna’s passion is to see students grow academically and gain confidence and motivation. She works with each family to find a solution that meets their needs and goals. Brianna enjoys reading, music, and spending time with family.

Meet Eric!
Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and a Masters of Education degree from Gannon University in 2005. Eric has worked at Sylvan Learning since October 2010. In his time at Sylvan, Eric tutored students of all ages in all content areas that Sylvan offers. He enjoys the satisfaction from seeing the growth of academic success and confidence in the students he meets. Away from Sylvan, Eric enjoys supporting the local professional sports teams and attending various arts and cultural events.
Ashley Stiner

Meet Ashley!
Ashley is a proud graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Minor in Social Studies. She’s passionate about learning and loves bringing that excitement into the lessons. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her curled up with a good book or exploring historical sites—she’s always on the hunt for a new story or place to discover! Ashley’s favorite thing about teaching at Sylvan is watching students grow in confidence and light up with pride when they finally “get it.”
Jada Best

Meet Jada!
Jada holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University and has earned two master’s degrees—one in Education from Lehman College and another in Educational Leadership from Baruch College. A passionate educator, Jada brings both experience and enthusiasm to the classroom. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to new places and sharpening her word skills with a good game of Scrabble. Her favorite part about teaching at Sylvan is witnessing students overcome challenges and reach their personal best—one milestone at a time!
Jennifer Schmidt

Meet Jennifer!
Jennifer earned her degree in Education and Psychology from Concordia University Chicago. She brings a creative and thoughtful approach to teaching, always aiming to support both the academic and emotional growth of her students. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and hiking—activities that help her recharge and stay inspired. Jennifer’s favorite part about teaching at Sylvan is seeing the improvement in students’ skills and, even more importantly, watching their confidence grow along the way.
