Audra-Marie Bohn

Center Director

After growing up in Bend, attending college on the East Coast and living abroad, Audra decided her true heart (and family) lives in the Northwest!  Audra is a licensed teacher with a second degree in Psychology.  In her free time, she loves being Auntie, enduring the Central Oregon gardening challenges, traveling with her husband, volunteering at the local high schools, and spending time outdoors with her friends and family.

Beth Z.

Teacher, K-12

Beth has taught many grade levels from K-12 and a variety of subjects in our school system.  At Sylvan, she teaches math, reading, writing, study skills, homework support, and more!  Her specialty is reading: she has taught a reading intervention class for the past 9 years!  When she is not at Sylvan you will find her working hard with her yearbook students or on the basketball court!  When she is not working, she enjoys adventuring around Central Oregon with her husband and dogs!

Laura D.

Teacher, K-12

Laura has been teaching for over 30 years in both public and private schools. With specialties in Geography, English, and Social Studies, Laura finds it rewarding to make a difference in a child’s life through education. Laura loves to travel and experience different cultures. When not working, you will find her spending time outdoors gardening, hiking, camping, and playing with her dog! When the Central Oregon weather doesn’t suit, she may be sewing, reading, or crafting!

Cathy D.

Teacher, K-6

Cathy is a valuable teacher to our Sylvan Team! She teaches students K-6 in math, reading, and writing. She is supportive, patient, and helps keep learning FUN! In her free time, you might find Cathy enjoying all Bend has to offer, following her grown-up kids lives, or playing with her cute dogs!

Megan L.

Director of Elementary Education

Meg grew up in Bend and made her way to Massachusetts for college, where she studied Art Education and became a licensed teacher. After graduating, she couldn’t wait to return to Central Oregon, where she’s been teaching, learning, and growing ever since. Along the way, she earned a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, deepening her commitment to meaningful, engaging education. Meg brings a creative lens to everything she does, especially when it comes to making learning fun and personalized. When she’s not immersed in education, she’s likely creating beautiful glass art or out on an adventure with her high-energy Border Collie.

Rudi L.

Advanced Math Teacher, 5-12th

Rudi teaches math, reading, writing and STEM support for our Sylvan students!  Rudi recently graduated from University of Oregon with a Master’s Degree in Planetary Science, for which she combined her background in geology and physics to study volcanoes on the planet Venus! She plans to go back to school next fall to pursue a second graduate degree in aerospace engineering, with the long term goal of designing NASA space exploration missions. Rudi enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest through her hobbies of hiking, rock climbing, and scuba diving.

Natasha R.

Center Administrator

Natasha has been working in early childhood education since 2019 in beautiful Bend, Oregon, and is a native to the community as well. She has worked with children of all ages, from 2 months to 10 years old. Currently, she stays busy at Sylvan at the front desk and teaching STEAM Camps. Natasha has always had a passion for teaching and loves forming new relationships with children and their families that will last for years to come. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors, spending time with her family and cat, and attending live music events in Bend.

Ben teaches students, K-12, and specializes in upper level math and STEM. With a Bachelors in Sports Medicine and a Masters in Computer Science, he is a wealth of info and fun! He has prior Sylvan experience in Arizona but is a native Central Oregonian.
