Meet Our Team

Marcie G. graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  She joined the Sylvan team in 1996, first as an instructor. Marcie has held positions as a Director of Education, Center Director, and Executive Director. Marcie is very comfortable and knowledgeable about all of the Sylvan programs and over the years has seen the positive impact they have had on thousands of students!  In her free time, Marcie enjoys reading, shopping, and mostly, spending time with her family!

Robin has been a part of the Sylvan Centerville team for 26 years!  In her time at Sylvan, Robin has worked with a variety of students, which is her greatest joy!  She especially enjoys working with our youngest readers.  Prior to Sylvan, Robin completed her undergraduate work at Wright State University and her graduate work at the University of Dayton.  Robin holds Bachelor Degrees in Management Science as well as in Education.  Robin also holds a Masters Degree in Education (English).  When Robin is not at Sylvan, she is likely traveling, hiking, or writing.

For the last 17 years, Tony has been providing tutoring to students of all ages. With a degree in Mathematics from Ohio State University, Tony can conquer any math problem brought to him and has gift explaining them in a variety of ways to a student. While at Sylvan, Tony has also learned other programs and can teach them when needed. He especially likes to help students improve their reading fluency! When Tony is not helping students at Sylvan, he enjoys being in his garden or coaching!

Kim joined the Sylvan of Centerville team in August of 2025.  She has been a classroom teacher for 25+ years and has a passion for teaching reading. She loves to see those “lightbulb” moments! With a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ball State, Kim has also had the opportunity to take master’s level courses in reading education. These classes have provided her with many resources to help continue a student’s momentum when skills begin to click. When Kim is not teaching, you can find her cycling.  She says there is nothing better than the early morning on the bike path!   Welcome to the team, Kim!!

Brian joined the Sylvan team in 2021. A graduate of Ohio University and Antioch University McGregor, Brian holds bachelor’s degrees in management information systems and education (PreK-3). At Sylvan, Brian enjoys working with the students and staff, especially in the math program! In his free time, Brian enjoys attending concerts.
