Meet Our Team

Jean has been working at Sylvan for a total of 35 years in several Sylvan centers. She joined the Sylvan team in Beavercreek in 2005. Over the years, Jean has become very familiar with the Sylvan programs, and she enjoys working with the reading program the most! Jean loves connecting with the Sylvan students and helping them achieve their goals. When Jean is not at Sylvan, she can be found reading, doing crafts, and swimming.

In December 2022, Finnick joined the Sylvan of Beavercreek team. Knowing he wanted to teach since he was in high school, Finnick pursued Art Education at Ohio State University. He loves seeing students grow and enjoys teaching the reading and writing programs at Sylvan! In his free time, Finnick enjoys art, writing, reading, and video games.

A September 2023 addition to the Sylvan of Beavercreek team, Abigail loves teaching math!  She graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Mathematics and AYA Mathematics Education.  Abigail already loves teaching the math programs at Sylvan and really enjoys watching the kids’ knowledge progress.  She also likes seeing the kids gain confidence in their work and their answers.  When she is not at Sylvan, Abigail enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with friends, reading, and playing volleyball.

Marcie G. graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She joined the Sylvan team in 1996, first as an instructor. Marcie has held positions as a Director of Education, Center Director, and Executive Director. Marcie is very comfortable and knowledgeable about all of the Sylvan programs and over the years has seen the positive impact they have had on thousands of students! In her free time, Marcie enjoys reading, shopping, and mostly, spending time with her family!
