With over two decades of experience as both a classroom teacher and learning center director, Mark is passionate about helping students unlock their full academic potential. His expertise spans reading, writing, math, study skills, science, and SAT/ACT prep—empowering students to build skills, confidence, and motivation at every level.
A proud West Windsor/Plainsboro native, Mark holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) and an undergraduate degree from Hofstra University. His deep roots in the community and commitment to educational excellence make him a trusted partner for families throughout Mercer County.
At Sylvan Learning of Hamilton, Mark leads a team of State Certified Teachers who provide personalized instruction for students performing below, at, or above grade level—including gifted and advanced learners. Mark personally meets with every family to understand each child’s unique needs. Through comprehensive assessments, his team identifies strengths and areas for growth, ensuring every student receives the best possible support.

Since joining her husband Mark as Managing Director in 2012, Amy has brought her passion for learning and her commitment to excellence to every aspect of the center. A proud graduate who earned her Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude, Amy’s academic achievements reflect her dedication to helping others succeed.
Amy is the heart of Sylvan’s daily operations—a true “do-it-aller.” She expertly manages the center, supports the teaching staff, and handles all scheduling needs. Amy is also highly skilled in conducting Sylvan Skills Assessments in Math, Reading, Writing, Study Skills, and test prep for the SAT, ACT, SSAT, and PSAT. Her keen insight allows her to identify each child’s unique strengths and learning needs.
What sets Amy apart is her genuine care for every student and family. She takes the time to guide parents through their child’s educational journey, offering clear next steps and personalized support. Amy’s ability to help children reach their academic goals not only boosts their skills, but also transforms their confidence and attitude toward school.

Ms. Rebecca
Teacher and Math Program Manager: Reading Specialist, Writing, Math (Through Precalculus), SAT Prep, ACT prep, SSAT Prep, Speed Reading
Ms. Rebecca is a dedicated certified teacher and special education specialist with a passion for helping students reach their full potential. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Elementary and Special Education and a minor in Mathematics.
As a current middle school teacher and former high school math instructor, Ms. Rebecca brings deep classroom experience to her 1-on-1 sessions. She also serves as a Math Program Manager at Sylvan Learning of Hamilton, on Quakerbridge Road, directly across from the Princeton BMW dealership, where she helps students build academic confidence and lasting success.

Ms. Rebecca believes every child can learn with the right approach. She has extensive experience providing inclusive, individualized instruction for students with students who are academically gifted or advanced, along with students who have ADHD, ADD, autism and dyslexia. Ms. Rebecca also helps support students with honors & H&A curriculum.
Known for her patience, kindness, and friendly approach, Ms. Rebecca creates a safe and welcoming space where students feel encouraged to ask questions, overcome learning hurdles, and achieve their goals.
Ms. Becky
Education and Administrative Director
Ms. Becky brings more than 20 years of experience in education to her role as the Education and Administrative Director. Holding a degree in Elementary Education, she has served as a classroom teacher, administrator, and center director. Ms. Becky joined the organization in 2021, successfully leading Sylvan Learning Centers in Pennsylvania as both a Director of Education and a Center Director before relocating to New Jersey.
Today, she works remotely from home, using her extensive expertise to manage essential operations, handle curriculum oversight, and support families at The Sylvan Learning Center of Hamilton Township (directly across from the Princeton BMW Dealership on Quakerbridge Road).

Outside of her role at Sylvan Learning, Becky loves spending time with her husband, Jason. She is highly active in her local church and enjoys hiking, traveling, crafting, reading, and family time.
Ms. Nicole
Teacher: Reading, Writing, Math and Study Skills
Ms. Nicole is a highly skilled educator who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Rutgers University and a Master’s Degree in Reading and Language Arts. In addition to being a state certified teacher in Elementary Education, she possesses supervisory certifications, bringing advanced instructional leadership and expertise to her tutoring sessions.
At the Sylvan Learning Center of Hamilton, Ms. Nicole applies her extensive literacy background to help students build confidence, master core subjects, and achieve long-term academic success.

Mr. Jose

Mr. Jose is an expert math educator who holds a Degree in Mathematics and graduated as a distinguished member of his college’s honors program. While he brings a valuable background as a dedicated child caretaker, his true passion lies in teaching mathematics. Teacher: Early LIteracy Specialist, Elementary Reading, Writing, Math and Study Skills, Speed Reading with Special Education Background
Ms. Stephanie is a highly qualified special education teacher and elementary educator at the Sylvan Learning Center of Hamilton. With over a decade of classroom experience, she excels at creating supportive, inclusive learning environments for neurodivergent students and children who think and learn differently.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology (with a minor in Special Education) and earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education with a dedicated concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Currently teaching in an elementary school setting and also works at our center in the evenings and/or weekends,
Ms. Stephanie utilizes her ten years of diverse classroom experience to deliver expert reading and writing instruction, along with helping students who may be on grade level, above grade level, have reading gaps, autism spectrum, ADHD & more.

Ms. Gabrielle holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary / Special Education & English. She also holds her teaching certificate in elementary along with middle school level with Advanced Standing and currently teaches middle school Language Arts.

Ms. Beverly
Teacher: Reading, Writing and Study Skills, Speed Reading
Ms. Beverly is a certified K-12 educator and Language Arts specialist who brings an advanced professional teaching framework to our instructional team. Holding teacher preparation and certifications in both Elementary and Secondary English Education, she currently teaches middle school Language Arts. Ms. Beverly has experience executing Sylvan’s instructional methods to enhance literacy skills across most grade levels. Whether she is helping a student close foundational reading gaps to catch up to grade level, guiding them to maintain peak classroom performance, or providing the advanced enrichment necessary for gifted and academically advanced students, she works to ensure every learner achieves their highest potential.
Ms. Victoria

Ms. Victoria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, graduating with honors on the Dean’s List, and carries an additional teaching certification for grades 6–12 basic skills. Currently active as a dedicated elementary school classroom teacher, she possesses a deep understanding of early developmental milestones and foundational learning. Ms. Victoria excels at building collaborative, positive relationships with students,, seamlessly involving everyone in the educational journey. Whether she is helping young learners establish their very first reading foundations, closing skill gaps to get older students back on track, or accelerating reading and writing mastery to prepare students for an academically competitive future, she ensures every learner achieves their highest potential.

Mr. Joe

Mr. Joe is an accomplished educator, instructional leader, and academic strategist who brings decades of diverse school experience to our Sylvan Learning of Hamilton team. Having excelled in vital leadership and classroom roles—including serving as a school teacher, Assistant Principal, and K–6 Catholic school educator, Mr. Joe currently serves as the Director of Special Education at a local high school. Known for his patience, quick wit, and deep mastery of diverse learning styles, Mr. Joe is skilled at motivating students and elevating their academic confidence. Whether he is breaking down early literacy foundations to get a student back on track, building math capabilities, or sharpening student critical thinking skills, he ensures every learner unlocks their true potential and stays positive about their learning and accomplishments.
Mr. Justin
Tutor: SAT Prep, ACT Prep, SSAT Prep, Reading, Writing, Study Skills and Speed Reading
Mr. Justin brings a Master of Arts in Education and Secondary English to Sylvan Learning Center. In addition to his work at Sylvan, he is a current writing professor at Rutgers University. With more than 15 years of experience in reading, writing, and SAT/ACT preparation, Mr. Justin has helped countless students strengthen their academic skills and craft compelling college application essays. He and the team have helped a multitude of students improve their SAT verbal scores by 150 points or more. Mr. Justin also helps support students with honors & H&A curriculum.
He is passionate about helping students build confidence in their English grammar, reading comprehension, and vocabulary, as well as preparing them for success on standardized tests. At the Sylvan Learning Center in Hamilton, Mr. Justin teaches SAT Prep, ACT Prep, Reading, Writing, Study Skills, Speed Reading, and more.
Ms. Kaitlin

Ms. Kaitlyn holds a Master’s degree in Quantitative Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Research Psychology! She is currently working as math teacher in one of our local school districts! Previously to joining the teaching field, Ms. Kaitlyn worked in market research, where she specialized in analyzing and presenting complex data to diverse audiences. Kaitlyn is passionate about making math accessible and engaging for all students, drawing on both her analytical background and classroom experience.

Mr. Calvin

Mr. Calvin has been a valuable member of the Sylvan Learning Center of Hamilton since joining in the summer of 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Chemistry with a minor in Political Economy and Biological Physics. His diverse academic background, combined with his experience as a Research Assistant and Neurology Assistant, allows him to connect complex concepts to real-world applications that help students thrive academically.
At Sylvan Learning of Hamilton, Mr. Calvin helps students strengthen their understanding and confidence in Algebra, Calculus (I–III), Probability, Linear Algebra, Physics, and related STEM subjects. Through his patient and encouraging teaching style, he helps learners improve problem-solving skills, master challenging topics, and develop lasting motivation for math and science.
Mr. Calvin plans to attend medical school in the future, but for now, he continues to enjoy inspiring students at Sylvan by making learning engaging and approachable. Ms. Allisyn
Tutor: Phonics & Early Literacy Specialist, Reading and Writing
Ms. Allisyn earned her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English. A highly qualified educator, she holds a Standard Preschool through Grade 3 teaching certificate as well as a K-6 teaching certificate. Currently, Ms. Allisyn works for a local elementary school, bringing her extensive classroom expertise to her roles at Sylvan Learning of Hamilton.
At Sylvan, Ms. Allisyn teaches reading and writing for grades K-12 and provides instruction in elementary-level math. She is dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging environment where students can build confidence in their academic skills. By leveraging her background in both English and early childhood development, Ms. Allisyn ensures that every lesson is tailored to meet the unique needs of her students, helping them grow into successful and inspired learners.
Mr. Isaiah
Tutor: Reading and Writing
Mr. Isaiah joins us at The Sylvan Learning of Hamilton a a part time teacher in reading and writing. He currently works at a school for special needs students, where he supports learners in achieving their academic goals. With a background in tutoring and behavioral support, he brings a thoughtful and individualized approach to each student he works with.
Drawing on his past experience as a game designer, Mr. Isaiah connects with students in creative and engaging ways that make learning both fun and meaningful. He is known for his kindness, patience, and consistently positive attitude, helping every student feel supported and confident in their abilities. At Sylvan Learning of Hamilton, he teaches Reading and Writing.
Ms. Olivia
Tutor: K-12 Math including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus and Reading
Ms. Olivia received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Deaf Studies where she graduated with cum laude honors. During her studies she enjoyed exploring various advanced mathematical topics, including partial differential equations, linear algebra, and mathematical modeling in MATLAB.
Ms. Olivia has previous teaching experience working as an Educational Assistant in a Special Education classroom, and as a Camp Counselor at an educational summer camp. Additionally, she has experience coaching youth ice hockey!
Fun Fact: Before joining Sylvan, Ms. Olivia also worked as a Station Manager and DJ at a local radio station. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar and listening to music.

Ms. Shanti PH.D

Ms. Shanti re-joins the Sylvan Learning Center of Hamilton after taking a short break, and we are so excited to have her back! Ms. Shanti Holds a Master of Arts in Space Science and a PhD in Plasma Physics! She has previous experience guiding undergraduate students in core math topics, including expressions, equations, functions and geometry, enhancing their foundational knowledge through engaging teaching methods and structured activities.

Mr. Aleks

Mr. Aleks joins Sylvan Learning of Hamilton with an strong background and a passion for education. He holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and graduated with a near 4.0 GPA. His expertise lies in all things related to math and teaching.
At Sylvan Learning of Hamilton, Mr. Aleks primarily teaches middle and high school mathematics, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, SAT / ACT Prep, Precalculus, and Calculus. He combines teaching experience with creativity to help students succeed. Additionally, he is fluent in Greek, Albanian, and English.
In his spare time, Mr. Aleks enjoys spending time with his family and expanding his knowledge in data science!

As a versatile English teacher, Ms. Kat specializes in developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for students in grades 1-12, as well as those at the college level. Her background includes:

Ms. Josie graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Dance Studies, and also completed a minor in Special Education. Her dedication to education is further demonstrated by her recent experience working as a high school level special education support specialist in a local school district. She is kind, patient and works well with various students including those who are struggling and those who want to become more advanced academically.
At Sylvan Learning of Hamilton, Ms. Josie specializes in teaching K-12 reading and writing, as well as providing instruction in SAT prep, speed reading, and study skills. Her diverse background and expertise make her a valuable asset to our students.

Mr. Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics along with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology! He brings many years of math tutoring experience, working with both school-aged and college students. Mr. Bill is passionate about helping students improve their math skills, build confidence, and increase their motivation through patient, methodical teaching methods.
At Sylvan, Mr. Bill teaches a wide range of math subjects, including K-8 arithmetic, numbers and operations, word problems, algebra, data analysis, statistics, probability, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, SAT/ACT preparation, and precalculus!
