Afternoon/Evening Sylvan Instructor
JOB DESCRIPTION: As an Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibility is to teach No Lesson Planning. No Parent Meetings. No Paperwork. We do all of that! Use your existing talents & skills in a SMALL group setting. (Paid training and opportunities for pay increases based on performance and availability) We prefer: Bachelor’s degree or students in their junior year of college Current or expired teaching license Passion for teaching What you get in return: Opportunity to do the work you love and make an impact on the lives of students Teach in a small group setting Paid training Flexible number of weekly hours (hours can range from 4-20 hours depending on your availability and teaching experience) Opportunities for pay increases based on performance and availability When we teach: 3:00-8:00 pm Monday- Thursday. 2:00-7:00 Friday. 9:00-2:00 Saturdays. Hours per week: 4-20 - You pick the times you are available and we match students with your availability. This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction Loves watching students learn and understand concepts! Sylvan Learning is the leader in providing tutoring and supplemental education for children in kindergarten through 12th grade. Our passionate instructors are Sylvan certified, and our expert approach is personal and prescriptive, with each individual child’s needs in mind.
