Our tutors and staff in Greenville consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Greenville know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. Ashley
Ashley is the Lead Tutor at Sylvan, and has tutored nearly every topic we offer. She specializes in ACT/SAT preparedness and working with high school students. She teaches high school social studies and AP courses. She loves the moment a child really “gets it” when learning. When she isn’t at work, you can find her at the park with her dogs and cat or playing with her foster kittens!

Helen
Helen is a 5th grade teacher in Pitt County Schools. She has been teaching for 20 years. While Helen has experience in a number of subjects, she enjoys teaching students to fall in love with reading. When she isn’t at Sylvan you can find her spending time with her husband!

Aiden
Aiden is a high school math teacher in Pitt County. He loves spending time with his family watching football. His favorite quote is “hard work will always beat talent if talent refuses to work hard.”

Emma
Emma is a graduate student at ECU, studying speech pathology, aspiring to be a future Speech Language Pathologist. She has a contagious energetic attitude with a passion for helping others. Outside of Sylvan Emma loves to watch Eagles football and her favorite color is cheetah print!

Leslie
Zac
Zac is a Ph.D student at East Carolina University. He has experience teaching a variety of writing courses and has tutored in all subject areas. He loves helping students figure out how to be independent workers! When he’s not tutoring you can find him reading with his cat, Nico!

Rhiannon
Rhiannon is an Elementary Education major at East Carolina University with a concentration in mathematics. Her favorite thing about education and teaching is the relationships built with students. When Rhiannon isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her family or reading!

Emelia
Emelia is an Assistant Principal for Pitt County Schools. She has over 25 years of experience as an educator. She enjoys working with students and helping them reach their full potential.

Kate
Kate is an Elementary Education major at ECU with a concentration in math. Her dream is to teach 2nd grade. When she is not at school or at Sylvan, you can find her with friends and playing guitar.
