Meet Our Team

I’m Stacy Silva, the Center Director here at Sylvan, and I’m excited to be part of your child’s learning journey. I bring a strong background in operations leadership, team development, and creating efficient systems that support success—both inside and outside the classroom.

While I’m not a traditional educator by training, I am deeply committed to ensuring every student who walks through our doors feels supported, confident, and capable. I take pride in building strong relationships with families, working closely with our tutors, and making sure our center is a welcoming, positive space where learning can truly thrive.

Outside of Sylvan, I enjoy spending time with my family, getting outdoors, and sharing a good laugh whenever I can. I’m approachable, solution-oriented, and always looking for ways to improve—for our team and for your kids.

Cindy Presnell

Admissions Director

Cindy has been an integral part of our Sylvan team since 2004. As our Admissions Director, Cindy introduces parents to Sylvan, and we don’t know what we would do without her! When Cindy isn’t at Sylvan, she is training her dog, spending time with her family and friends, and looking forward to trips to the beach.

Lindsey Gallagher

Tutor

Lindsey is a middle teacher in the CMS school district with a gift for working with kids. While she has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in language arts and social studies tutoring and handles many administrative duties.   Lindsey has traveled extensively through the world and brings a great deal of that knowledge with her to Sylvan.

Thein is a tutor at our Sylvan in Matthews. While Thein has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in math and science tutoring. She is a Computer Science major at UNC Charlotte. In her free time, Thein loves being active, including biking, swimming, and going to new places with friends and family.  She also enjoys crafts such as drawing, building blocks, and miniatures!
