Britny Pollard

Center Director

As the Center Director, Britny oversees the daily operation and instruction at Sylvan of Grand Blanc. She graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelor’s in Communications. Britny has a background in Administrative Services and Office Management. She is really excited about working with students and watching them take on new challenges and grow in confidence. When she is not at Sylvan, Britny enjoys spending time with her family including her husband, dog, and cat, trying out new hobbies, or traveling to Disney World/Florida.

Jennie Mill

Director of Operations

With over two decades of experience in education and leadership, Jennie Mill serves as the Director of Operations for the Rollins Group of Sylvan Learning, overseeing 11 locations across multiple regions. Jennie’s journey with Sylvan began in 2002, when she started as a part-time teacher. From there, she moved up the ranks, becoming a Lead Teacher, Director of Education, Business Director/Center Director, and ultimately Director of Operations.

Her career path has been shaped by a deep commitment to educational excellence and a passion for supporting both students and educators. Jennie’s role involves a diverse range of responsibilities—from instructional support and director coaching to operational integration—ensuring that every center runs smoothly and effectively.

Jennie is particularly proud of Sylvan’s ability to make a meaningful impact on students and their families, not just through the direct services offered at the centers, but also by supporting the invaluable work of local schools and teachers. One of her greatest professional joys is providing her Directors with the support they need to thrive, helping them tackle challenges and grow in their roles.

With a B.A. in English and a teaching focus K-8, Jennie believes that education is a lifelong gift—one that no one can take away. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in creating supportive, collaborative environments where both her teams and the students they serve can succeed.

Jennifer Barker-Odigie

Director of School Partnerships

As the Director of School Partnerships for the Greater Flint area, Jennifer oversees operations and instruction. She has worked at Sylvan since 2004 and became a director in 2006. Jennifer loves building relationships with the families that attend and works hard at fulfilling the educational needs of the students, so that their true potential shines. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, specializing in Science and Mathematics from the U of M. She also received a Certificate of Technology in the Classroom from MSU. When Jennifer is not at Sylvan you will likely find her playing with her son, crafting, or baking.

Jessica Rollins, MA

Owner/Executive Director

After working in the Sylvan family for 15 years, Jessica and her husband George had the pleasure of becoming owners in March of 2017. Jessica’s favorite aspect of Sylvan is the ability to partner with community organizations and schools. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education from CMU and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from EMU.  Jessica also serves as the chair for the Dewitt Public Schools Foundation, where her children attend school. When she isn’t at Sylvan, Jessica enjoys vegetable gardening and camping.

Mindi Woronoff, M. Ed

Director of Family Engagement

Mindi oversees the initial educational journey for a family new to Sylvan.  A former student supervisor for Okemos Public Schools, Mindi helps students focus on the academic as well as the intangible aspects of school life. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in technical writing. When Mindi isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her reading and baking goodies for her kids.
