Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Paducah know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

As Center Director, Steve is the leader of operations for Sylvan of Paducah. Formerly, he was the owner of Bright’s clothing, but he chose a career in the tutoring business because of his love for kids and the experience of seeing the success we bring to each of them. Steve studied at the University of Kentucky and is a huge UK fan. When he isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him on the golf course or at a ballgame.
Director of Education
As Director of Education, Kelsi oversees the educational integrity of our programs and personalizes learning for each student. A former middle school teacher, Kelsi enjoys getting to know each student who comes to Sylvan of Paducah. She studied at Murray State University and holds a master’s in special education. When Kelsi isn’t at Sylvan, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Keitha is our veteran teacher of almost twenty years at Sylvan of Paducah! We turn to her for new, engaging ideas because she has created many of ours on her own. Keitha studied at Murray State University and holds both a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling. While an excellent teacher of many subjects, Keitha finds math instruction to be the most fulfilling. She enjoys helping students build confidence by leading them to realize their own success. When Keitha isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her cooking, watching sci-fi movies, or spending time with family.
Katie brings much positive energy and enthusiasm to our center and many smiles to our students’ faces. Her love for learning and desire for all students to be successful in math is what drives her to engage each learner she encounters. Katie earned her degree at the University of Louisville. When she isn’t at Sylvan, you will find her spending time with her family and friends.
Kaye is our newest addition to the Paducah Sylvan team. Her first love is middle school math, but each day her appreciation for teaching reading and other skills to our students grows more and more. Kaye earned her degree at Murray State University. When she’s not at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her son.
Keith has been with Sylvan of Paducah for almost two years and has 27 years experience teaching high-school English and coaching multiple sports. He holds two master’s degrees from Murray State University. Keith enjoys the small group instruction at Sylvan and is passionate about helping students learn difficult concepts. When he’s not at Sylvan, Keith enjoys spending time with family and playing golf.
Joanna is an engaging, creative instructor here at Sylvan in Paducah with a natural gift for working with our students. While Joanna has many teaching talents, she finds the greatest joy in tutoring our little ones in reading and math. She studied elementary education at Murray State University. When Joanna isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her high school daughter mostly as her taxi cab driver.
Tamara brings much joy and great, fresh ideas to our Paducah center. She works well with students of all ages, finding the greatest joy when she is tutoring math. Tamara studied secondary math education at Murray State University and University of the Cumberlands. When she isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and young children.
Madison is a fun and versatile instructor, gifted at teaching many subjects. She loves working with kids and enjoys the opportunity Sylvan gives her to make a difference in their lives. Madison says she chose Sylvan because of the confidence it instills in students. Madison holds a bachelor’s degree in middle school education from Murray State University and is currently finishing her student teaching while coaching high school cheerleading in Paducah. On the rare occasion she’s not busy teaching or coaching, you can find Madison spending time with friends and family or just relaxing at home.
