Sharon Stephens
Owner
Sharon is the owner of Sylvan Learning of Canton, Georgia. Sharon has been involved with Sylvan Learning for over 20 years as a parent and grandparent. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a Concentration in Organizational Leadership. Sharon has a passion for being of service to others and truly believes knowledge is power. Her main goal is to create a learning environment through Sylvan that will allow the students and their families to grow. Sharon enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Sarah Whatley
Co-Owner / Center Director
As Center Director, Sarah Leads the management and educational planning for Sylvan of Canton Georgia. A former Air Traffic Controller/Air Space Manager in the U.S. Army for over 22 years, Sarah has years of leadership and business administration experience. Managing large training and customer service teams. Sarah chose a career in the tutoring because she wanted to continue to serve her community and its families. Sarah has many years of experience in adult education and truly believes that it is never too late to develop a love for learning. When Sarah isn’t at Sylvan, you will find her spending time with her family and traveling.
Krista Eldredge
Lead Teacher / Instructor
Krista has worked for Sylvan since 2017 and is Sylvan certified in all the programs we offer. Before coming to Sylvan, she enjoyed twelve years of teaching history and other social studies courses to high school students, during which she twice earned a place in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Krista received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Piedmont College. She went on to earn her Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Piedmont as well, with a concentration in Broad Field Social Studies. She enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Dianne Mines
Instructor
Dianne is an instructor for Sylvan Learning of Canton, Georgia with a passion for education. While she is comfortable tutoring in many disciplines, Dianne derives the greatest pleasure from working with students in math and STEM. Dianne has BS in education with a concentration in mathematics from Auburn University in grades 1-8. Dianne also has a master’s in information systems from Kennesaw State University. When not at Sylvan, you will find her traveling and spending time with friends.
Kendall Profitt
Instructor
Meet Kendall, Kendall is an amazing tutor for Sylvan Learning of Canton, Georgia. She has a special expertise for tutoring in reading and writing. Kendall is patient and kind, with a great ability to relate to kids. She studied at Georgia College & State University. When Kendall isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her reading Jane Austen novels or playing with her tortoiseshell cat, Fluffy.
