We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

As Director, Hilary leads the team of professionals for Sylvan of Orange Park. Ms. Hilary chose a career with Sylvan because she is passionate about helping students and families. She studied at the University of Florida where she got a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters in Business. When Ms. Hilary isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her with her family.
As Office Manager, Rhonda is in charge of keeping Sylvan organized, answering the phones, and handling student accounts here at Sylvan of Orange Park. Mrs. Rhonda has worked in the educational business field for many years, and knows how to resolve almost any issue you might have. When Mrs. Rhonda isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her cooking, playing trivia, or helping others.
Anne hails from California, but resides in Jacksonville, Florida. She has a B.A. in Sociology and a M.Ed. in Exceptional Education. She enjoys helping students meet their potential.
Jackie graduated from UNCW with a B.A. in Elementary Education. She is certified in K-6 education. She enjoys working with students in the schools and at Sylvan.
Liz has worked at Sylvan Learning Centers in 3 different states, but the center in Orange Park is her favorite! She received her Bachelors and her Masters in Education from Jacksonville University. When she is not at Sylvan she likes running, watching sports and relaxing with her family.
Lindsay taught first grade in Duval County Public Schools for many years, and now teaches at a private school, so she knows many different curriculums. She is certified in Early Childhood Education, but also has experience teaching writing to older students.
Michelle was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Florida State University and taught for 3 years before deciding to stay at home with her children and teach part-time at Sylvan. She loves traveling, eating tacos, and drinking coffee.
Mrs. Maureen began her career as a physical education teacher in Duval County. Then she taught Kindergarten at St. Johns Country Day School for almost 30 years. She is an expert in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys her grandchildren and quilting when she is not at Sylvan.
Mr. Mike has a Ph.D. in chemistry from Carnegie-Mellon University. Before joining Sylvan he worked as a biomedical researcher in Miami. Mr. Mike enjoys teaching a variety of subjects including chemistry, algebra, calculus, geometry and trig. In his spare time he likes to play basketball and take walks.
Mr. Ryan completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering and his graduate degree in medicine at Duke University. You can often find him swimming laps at the pool or walking his dog, Roscoe.
Sandra attended Cal State University in Los Angeles earning her B.A. and Life Time Teachers Certification. Later she earned a Masters in Education and a P.h.D. in Guidance and Counseling. She worked for the Dept. of Defense schools overseas for over 36 years. She loves to travel and studied Japanese in Japan. She has two sons, one is a JSO officer, and the other a Navy Veteran.
