Chelsea Boyette

Owner

Chelsea is responsible for ensuring that Sylvan education programs are delivered by teachers as designed so that lessons are effective and robust. She graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s in elementary education and has worked in various education roles for 14 years. Her passion is to meet students where they are, give them the tools and confidence they need, and witness their growth in leaps and bounds!

Brittany Everette

Owner

Brittany works with staff and parents to create an individualized program for each student to achieve the highest levels of growth in academics and confidence. Brittany graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in education from Saint Leo University in 2007. She has experience teaching in the classroom and in educational management. In her spare time, Brittany spends time with her husband, three children, and many pets.

Seth Patrick

Executive Director

Seth is a valuable member of the Sylvan executive team! A graduate of Manchester University in Indiana, Seth brings a wealth of knowledge, as he has been with Sylvan since 2018. He partners with the center director and director of education to ensure the educational integrity of our programs and manage our team of tutors in both Gainesville and Ocala. He provides quality service to our families as he personalizes educational programs and tuition options. You’ll often see Seth at community events, eager to share Sylvan success stories. When Seth isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him playing golf or doing mathematics. He is very dedicated to his position and is ready to serve you in any way that he can.

Brandon Wiles

Teacher

Dr. Brandon Wiles is an Upper Level Mathematics and English instructor for Sylvan Learning Center. He has worked for multiple Sylvan centers in the past. He teaches Math Essentials, Academic Reading, Writing, SAT/ACT College Prep, and Homework Support. He loves working with all levels of students, but working with the SAT/ACT students and Upper Level Math/Physics homework support students is his greatest passion! In his free time you will find him reading his Astro Physics books, working on stuff for the college classes he teaches, or attending his Capoeira classes!

Bettina Capuano

Teacher

Bettina earned her degree in Mathematics from the University of South Florida.  She has been teaching for 41 years and has used her expertise in math to help students reach their potential. She enjoys working with children of all ages at Sylvan. Her biggest accomplishment is “learning to integrate changing technology and teaching methods to improve student learning and comprehension.” Ms. Bettina loves to read and swim when she isn’t at Sylvan helping students reach their goals in education.

Theresa Kane

Teacher

Theresa uses her expertise in special education to help students achieve their goals.  She earned her degree from Marymount University in Education.  She has spent 25 years in the education field.  She enjoys working with all the students at Sylvan and truly loves teaching them to read.  When you can’t find Mrs. Theresa at Sylvan, she could be boating, swimming, gardening, or reading.

Tracy Skinner

Executive Assistant

Tracy has been with Sylvan since September 2023.  She earned her degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida. She has spent 22 years in the education field. She enjoys helping students of all ages in their educational journey. When Mrs. Tracy isn’t found at Sylvan, she will be traveling, hanging with friends and family, or trying out the newest roller coaster.
