Meet Our Team

Sarah

Executive Director

As Executive Director, Sarah oversees Indiana centers in Mishawaka, Elkhart, Merrillville, Schererville, Valparaiso, Fishers, Carmel, West Indianapolis, South Indianapolis, Fort Wayne North, and Fort Wayne South, and four Florida centers in Clermont, Ocoee, Dr. Phillips and Kissimmee. She thoroughly enjoys working with all of the students and their families. Sarah studied at Cedarville University.  When Sarah isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and her two beautiful daughters.

Nadine

Center Director/Director of New Family Engagement

As Center Director at Sylvan of Clermont, Nadine leads a team of dedicated educators whose collective goal is the success of every child. A former Director of Education and 20-year veteran teacher, Nadine knows that learning is a lifelong activity that should be fun and meaningful. “Meeting students on their learning path and showing them that they can go as far as they can imagine is my goal.” Whitney M. Young said it best: “Stretch your mind and fly.”

Nadine studied at Florida State College-Jacksonville and Jones College. In her free time, Nadine loves traveling, reading, writing, enjoying sand and sun at Florida’s beaches, or exploring nature at the local botanical gardens.

Caitlin

Regional Director

As the Florida Regional Director, Caitlin oversees the centers in Clermont, Dr. Phillips, Kissimmee, and Ocoee. She has been with Sylvan for over 10 years and loves all aspects, from working with students to meeting with parents and assisting directors. Caitlin graduated from Saint Mary’s College. When she is not at Sylvan, she is at home playing with her son, chasing after her dog, or baking in the kitchen!

Kevin

Director of Student Advancement

As Director of Student Advancement, Kevin oversees the educational integrity of our programs, and manages and trains our team of tutors here in Clermont. A former middle and elementary school math teacher, Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan of Clermont. He studied at Florida Atlantic University, in Boca Raton, Florida. When Kevin isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him spending time with his wife and cocker spaniel, playing chess, and riding roller coasters!

Kathie

Tutor

Kathie taught science and math in NJ and she now enjoys tutoring at Sylvan of Clermont, FL. Tutoring in science and math most are her favorite subjects. Kathie studied at William Paterson University, Ramapo College; and Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

During her time as the Center Director for the Buehler Challenger & Science Center in NJ, Kathie enjoyed her sharing her love of space science. She is a natural adventurer having spent time flying small planes and enjoying the slopes as a ski instructor. In her free time, Kathie loves crocheting and spending time with her family at Disney World.

Lisa

Tutor

Lisa is a teacher in Clermont, FL and she loves working with kids. Reading is Lisa’s favorite tutoring subject, and it is where she excels. Lisa studied at Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and you can also find her appreciating the natural scenery during outdoor walks.

Joshua

Tutor

Joshua is a math tutor at Sylvan of Clermont with a gift for high-level math. Joshua enjoys helping students understand and work through the finer details of math. He studied at the University of South Florida and graduated with a degree in Mathematics Education. During his time off from Sylvan, Joshua enjoys reading, studying foreign languages, or working out at the gym.

Kylee

Tutor

Kylee Martin is an elementary teacher in Groveland, FL with a gift for working with kids. She has many tutoring talents and finds the greatest joy in teaching and tutoring ELA and math. Kylee studied at Ashford University.
When she isn’t teaching or tutoring, Kylee’s favorite activities are traveling and going to Disney.
