Meet Our Team

Welcome to Sylvan Learning of Visalia! My name is Robert Dyer, I am the Franchisee and Center Director. While earning my college degree, I taught at several Sylvan Learning Centers in Southern California and instantly fell in love with every aspect of Sylvan. Almost overnight, I became a Director of Education, a Center Director and I purchased my first franchise in 1994. My wife Elizabeth and I relocated to Exeter and opened the Visalia Center in 2005.

Aaron is an instructor in Visalia, CA with a gift for working with kids. While Aaron has many tutoring talents, he finds the greatest joy in writing tutoring. He studied English and earned his Bachelor’s at CSSBU. At Sylvan, Aaron enjoys the ability to connect and inspire his students, witnessing success one student at a time.

Maritza is an amazing tutor in Visalia, CA.  Maritza tutored while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics at University of California, Riverside.  Now, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Sylvan of Visalia. Maritza greatest gift is her ability to bring out the best in each student and it’s her joy to make a difference in their lives.

Shaelyn  graduated Summa Com Laude from California State University, Bakersfield. She has a Bacherlor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a multiple subject teaching credential. Shaelyn loves to pay forward her love of learning to the next generation. In her free time, Shae enjoys reading, riding her bike and baking (sourdough…especially!).
