Meet Our Team

B.A. English Literature, The Colorado College, 1989; Post Baccalaureate Studies, Baylor University, 1992; Texas and Colorado Teaching Credentials. Jim has been with Sylvan since 1992 and has been the Director of this location since 1999

B.A. Political Science, Baylor University, 1990; J.D., Baylor Law School, 1994. Laura has been with Sylvan since 1995 and has been a Director of this location since 1999.

Pat has been with Sylvan since 2019.  She has a BA in English and an MA in Communications.  Prior to Sylvan she was a teacher in Sonoma County from 2007 through 2018.  She is an excellent teacher, experienced in working with elementary and middle school students in reading, writing and math.  Outside of Sylvan, she enjoys spending time with her 2 grandchildren.

Susan

Susan taught at Sylvan from 2002 through 2008, returning in 2020.  She has a BA in Management and a multiple subject teaching credential.  She teaches reading, writing and math to students of a variety of ages.  Outside of Sylvan, she enjoys traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren.

Kayla has been with Sylvan since 2024.  She is actually a former Sylvan student who returned to work with students after earning her BS in Mathematics.  She specialized in teaching middle school and high school math students.  She enjoys travelling and reading.

Cheryl has been with Sylvan since 2024.  She has a BA in Education and specialized in teaching elementary students in reading, writing and math. When she is not at Sylvan she enjoys spending time with family and volunteering.

Sylvia has been with Sylvan since early 2025.  She has a BA in Liberal Arts and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  She enjoys teaching elementary and middle school students in reading, writing and math.  When she is not at Sylvan she is busy with family and her school age children
