Meet Our Team

Harleen has led Sylvan Learning to thrive as the Executive Director of Fairfield, Vacaville, Napa and Walnut Creek. She was raised in Punjab, India and moved to San Jose, CA. Harleen has a Bachelors in Educational Studies (Early Education) and her Associates in Universal Studies (Liberal Studies). Education is extremely important to Harleen, and she thrives when she is able to help students reach their academic potential. With a decade worth of educational experience, she is able to develop strategies that best fit your child’s needs. When Harleen is not at Sylvan, she loves spending time with her daughter, gym, yoga, pet her dog & cat, take care of her plants, and color…creating special memories!

Bryanna is currently transferring to Sac State. She finds working with children rewarding and loves to help them learn. She provides every need of the center to be full filled through her handwork and dedication  When not at Sylvan, Bryanna Enjoys playing volleyball!

Peter is the program manager for the Fairfield center. He recently earned a Master’s Degree in Library Science and has a passion for education. His hobbies include PC building, video games, and taking his dogs on hikes. He is from San Jose, CA.

Samantha is one of our tutors. She is currently attending UC Davis studying biological science. Outside of teaching at Sylvan she enjoys reading and playing the clarinet in groups around the Bay Area.

Jaida is one of our tutors here at the Fairfield center. Her hobbies include trying different kinds of dance classes, going to the beach, and eating food at new places! Two of her favorite books are The Great Gatsby and Walk Two Moons.

Jaida is certified to instruct within the following programs at our center:

Sylvan Sync Writing, Sylvan Sync Reading, and Sylvan Sync Math.

Zach is one of our tutors at the center, and he also leads a tutoring team at one of our satellite locations! Outside of Sylvan, Zach enjoys distance running, studying philosophy, and reading!

Jennifer is a Bay Area native. She is a high school student set to graduate in 2026. She loves working with our students here at Sylvan. Some of her hobbies include programming, volunteering, and reading. Some of of her favorite books include Farenheit 451 and The Hate U Give.

Shahmir is a retired social studies teacher with 23 years of experience. He also currently works as a Special Education Aide. Shahmir has plentiful experience working with children and he is a valued teacher here at Sylvan.

Jacob helps in any math level your student may be struggling with. He graduated from Chico State with a Math Education degree in 2021 and has been a full-time teacher since. Jacob loves teaching high schoolers, especially when it comes to connecting students’ learning to real-life examples. Outside of Sylvan he enjoys listening to music and playing games.

Ethan is a tutor who aspires to help whoever needs it, whether it is math, English, or science. He is glad to work with students from any age range. In his free time, he indulges in numerous hobbies like reading or puzzles.

Griffin is one of our instructors at Sylvan. He is currently a dual enrollment student at Early College High School on track to graduate in 2026. He loves teaching kids new and exciting things. Outside of teaching for Sylvan, Griffin enjoys making art, hiking and backpacking, and horseback riding.
