Our tutors and staff in Saskatoon consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Saskatoon know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Ceri Fletcher
Centre Director
Director
Ceri Fletcher is the Centre Director at the Saskatoon Sylvan Learning Centre. After graduating with her B.A. in Education, focusing on educational leadership and administration, she began working at Sylvan in the Maritime provinces in 2004. In 2012, Ceri joined the team in Saskatoon. She is passionate about all the Sylvan programs, with their unique individual learning plans, and how every student can find success within these programs. Ceri is devoted to developing programs for students with unique learning challenges, like dyslexia or autism. Outside of Sylvan, Ceri enjoys acting and stage management; having been involved in community theatre all over Canada and the United States. When Ceri isn’t at Sylvan or the theatre, you will find her spending time with her husband and twin boys. Ceri is extremely proud of all her Sylvan students, who have found academic success and confidence because of their time at Sylvan.

Madeline Fernandes
Executive Director
Director
Madeline Fernandes is the Executive Director and Franchisee at the Saskatoon and Regina Sylvan Learning Centres. She enjoys seeing the students’ delight in their own accomplishments and new found skills after attending Sylvan. Madeline is committed to ensuring that all families have a rewarding experience. Madeline graduated from the University of Regina, with a Bachelor of Human Justice. Then, after working in the social work field for a number of years, she began her career with Sylvan in 2009 as a Director of a Sylvan Learning Centre in Winnipeg, MB. After seeing the difference that the program made in the lives of students and their families, she took the opportunity to return to Saskatchewan to purchase the Centre in Saskatoon in 2011. In 2014, Madeline expanded with two satellite Centres in Warman and North Battleford. Eventually in January 2024, Madeline expanded her operations and acquired the Sylvan Learning Centre in Regina. She is thrilled to be building Saskatchewan students’ academic skills, which are needed to not only succeed in school but in life in general. Madeline spends her spare time running after her 4 wonderful, yet very active children.
Robyn Martens
Assistant Director
Robyn Martens is the Assistant Director at the Saskatoon Sylvan Learning Centre. She enjoys the opportunity to connect with both the students, and their families who are finding success and building confidence with our programs. Robyn delights in watching students gain confidence with their skills, through their individualized learning plans leading to academic success. Sylvan has provided a wonderful atmosphere for Robyn to support students leading them through learning at their own pace. Robyn has her Bachelor of Science in Biology. When she is not at Sylvan, you can find Robyn exploring and learning about different parts of the world through travel.
Victoria Luke
Program Director
Victoria Luke is the Program Director and Office Administrator at the Saskatoon Sylvan Learning Centre. She thoroughly enjoys guiding students through their learning and gets excited when students master a new concept. Sylvan provides Victoria with the opportunity to continue to expand her teaching skills as she works with students and their various learning styles. Victoria has a Bachelor of Arts as well as a Bachelor of Education and
has been teaching for over 20 years. When she is not at Sylvan, Victoria loves to spend time travelling with her husband and two adult children. She is an avid reader and loves word puzzles and sudoku.
