Zhuojun Dai
Centre Director
As Centre Director, Zhuojun leads community outreach and operations for Sylvan of North Toronto. Zhuojun chose a career in the tutoring business because she believes learning shall be personalized. She studied at Brock University. When Zhuojun isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her cooking and spending time with her dogs.
Peter K.
Director of Education/ Lead Teacher
Peter has been part of Sylvan Learning- North Toronto location for a decade. He is a graduate of Ryerson University and York University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts for Child and Youth Care, and a Bachelor of Education. Even before his time at Sylvan he was working with students of all ages and with varying abilities in a variety of settings. He has a strong passion for seeing each new generation grow in skills and confidence. With his free time, he enjoys watching movies, TV, hockey, reading, and playing board games and card games.
Claire
Tutor
Claire is a final year student of Bachelor of Education at Lakehead University and has been honing her skills as a full-time teacher at TDSB. She has an extensive knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum and pedagogy. Claire graduated from Queen’s University as a Bachelor of Science in Biology & Etobicoke School of the Arts with a major in Music (violin). Apart from being an educator, Claire enjoys painting, playing the violin, caregiving for various families in her community, and spending quality time with her puppy.
Ray
Tutor
Ray Luo is a graduate of the University of Toronto and a proud recipient of Honours in Bachelor of Science, Major in Actuarial science, and a double minor in Statistics, and Economics. He use to be a teaching assistant for an introductory statistics course at Western University. He enjoys teaching and finds it very rewarding to enable students especially when it comes to Math and Science subjects. He likes to connect with his students and learn about their cultures in return. When Ray isn’t at Sylvan he can be found enjoying a long walk and getting in touch with nature.
Leah Robinson
Tutor
Leah has done International Bachelor of Arts (iBA) from Glendon, York University, with French Studies Honours from Sophia-Antipolis University, Nice, France. Currently, she is a teachers college student at Glendon, York University. She is bilingual in French and love the languages. She loves teaching especially reading and writing skills, and has a special ability in bonding with young students. She believes that learning should be fun and thus, loves building connections with the students. She is multi-talented and has also dabbled in teaching her other passions like art, dance, musical theatre, etc.
Fay
Tutor
Fay graduated from York University with a degree in French Studies and is an OCT certified grade k – 8 teacher specialist in French and Technology. She is also qualified in Special Education and Indigenous Studies. She is passionate about teaching and goes an extra mile to support her students. Her hobbies include visual art, photography and listening to music.
