Ishrat Fathima
Center Director and Franchise Owner
Director
Ishrat Fathima is the Center Director and Franchise Owner. With over 20 years of experience in administration, school management, and English Language teaching, she aims to foster creativity and skills in students so as to help them achieve their educational goals. In addition, Ishrat enjoys collaborating with teachers and parents to develop efficient and effective learning strategies.

Sujatha Sridaran
Director of Education
Director
Sujatha holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She has fifteen years of experience in teaching students of all age groups in several countries. She feels that the role of a teacher is to support and guide the student in the learning process. Rather than viewing errors as a setback, she assists students to understand and guide them to correct those errors through positive reinforcement. She believes in Lev Vygotsky’s theory that parents and teachers by providing opportunities can foster learning that lies within a child’s zone of proximal development. When she is not teaching at Sylvan, you can find her engrossed with her books as she is a voracious reader.

Anna Freeman
Center Manager
Anna Freeman has taught at the elementary school level and for three years at the undergraduate level. Anna relies on a teaching approach centered on constructivist learning theory, emphasizing the significance of the student’s social and emotional experiences. She uses positive reinforcement strategies and goal setting to help students find success in their learning. Anna is well aware of diverse learning styles and is familiar with multiple intelligences. She scaffolds learning so that students can move through learning cycles to achieve success. Anna promotes creativity through multimodal approaches. She advocates strongly for underserved Indigenous communities. Anna is a former competitive swimmer at the NCAA level and is committed to fitness as part of her holistic teaching and learning lifestyle.

Nicole Antidormi
Instructor
Nicole is an Ontario Certified Teacher. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from Western University in 2021 having previously obtained a Bachelor of Music degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2019. She is passionate about teaching and believes in the importance of meeting each student’s unique learning needs in order to support academic achievement. When she is not teaching, Nicole enjoys reading, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and listening to classical music.

Melanie Ferreira
Instructor
Melanie is an OCT certified teacher working at the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, double majoring in chemistry and biology, and a Bachelor of Education from OISE in 2015. She believes in the importance of not only teaching students curriculum content, but more importantly, teaching them skills and lessons they can take with them outside of the classroom to encourage them to be life-long learners. When she is not teaching, Melanie loves to read, listen to music and spend quality time with her family, friends, and cats Charlee and Lexy.

Dalia Hussien
Instructor
Dalia is passionate about helping students grow through effort and practice. She believes that education isn’t just about getting the right answers, but about the process and the dedication that students bring to their work. For her, it’s all about fostering motivation and encouraging students to do their best. As long as the effort is there, that’s what truly matters. She loves using positive reinforcement to keep students on track, and when they make mistakes, she takes the opportunity to appreciate their thought process and guide them toward the right solution. Her approach creates a supportive learning environment where students can feel confident and motivated. Having earned a Bachelors in Educational Studies, Dalia brings a thoughtful and creative touch to her teaching. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, writing, and sketching, which allow her to continuously explore new ideas and stay inspired.

Hailey Paul
Instructor
Hailey is working towards her Bachelor Degree of Commerce, along with attaining her Pilot’s Licence. She has lots of experience teaching students English as a first and second language, and with this, believes that each student’s needs and abilities are different, and aims to build connections with each student to understand their learning ability. Her goals are to help students improve their skills as much as possible while allowing the students to have an enjoyable experience. When Hailey is not teaching, she enjoys listening to music, playing sports, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.

Jerussha Jesuratnam
Instructor
Jerussha is a passionate math tutor with a degree in Financial Mathematics. Since graduating in 2020, she has been helping students build confidence and master mathematical concepts. With 5 years of tutoring experience, Jerussha specializes in making math approachable and engaging, whether it’s algebra, calculus, or financial math. Her goal is to tailor lessons to each student’s learning style, ensuring they not only improve their grades but also develop a deeper understanding of math.
Outside of tutoring, she loves traveling, staying active at the gym, and spending time with her dogs.

Shannon Untch
Instructor
Shannon graduated from McMaster University with an Honours degree in Biology and Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. Shannon enjoys sharing her love for knowledge with others by making learning fun, accessible, and using real-life examples. She is also a wonderful teacher for high school students in Chemistry and Biology. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys camping, reading, and playing the viola.

Elizabeth George
Her mission is to make math not just understandable but genuinely fun—turning challenges into opportunities for growth and curiosity. Known for her patience, positivity, and creativity, Elizabeth creates a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore new ideas.
Outside of tutoring, Elizabeth enjoys reading, painting, and staying active at the gym.
