We’ve had a great experience with Sylvan! My daughter is enrolled in both the math and reading programs, and we’ve seen a noticeable improvement not only in her skills, but in her confidence as well. The staff have been supportive and encouraging, and it’s been really nice to see her feeling more confident in her abilities. We’re very happy with the progress she’s made.

My son has been attending Sylvan for almost 2 years, once a week. Sylvan accommodating us to fit our schedule, and our son has gained a lot of confidence in reading, writing and math. He went from not attending school in Grade 7 early on, to engaging full time in Grade 8. His teacher, Joanna, has been instrumental in helping him with 1-on-1 tutoring. My son enjoys this time, has never complained, and Joanna provided him a quiet, non judgemental way for his learning to excel. Smita has been very helpful with updates and sending updates. Our daughter has been tutored in reading/writing at Sylvan for a year. She enjoys being in a small group environment to learn. Her reading comprehension is leaps and bounds ahead of where she began. As a child, Sylvan got to the bottom of what I didn't understand and brought me to my grade level and above. Full failing to taking advanced 11 and 12 math at once. Reading comprehension was mastered with lots of work and identifying issues. This is why the next generation is enrolled at Sylvan. I am excited to watch my daughter grow, knowing and trusting the Sylvan method.

The Sylvan team has been so thoughtful and thorough through the assessment and session process. We are always on top of where things are for the sessions, what things are being worked on, and what's to come. Each teacher involved with our child (Dan, Denise, and Joanna) are able to help engage them and keep them interested. They help break down the tasks to learn and keep it fun by having a fun game at the very end as a way to connect with the students. Bit by bit we see our child gain confidence!

Sylvan learning centre has been a large part of the success in my son's learning and growth in his confidence in school. They have been very accommodating in date changes, as well as accommodating a schedule to allow a child with ADHD/LD to have an optimal learning time, that didn't always fit the scheduled times. I recommend the professional tutoring services and we continue to find support for our child.

Wonderful assistance with Math and Science related subjects!

I went Sylvan for a few months to get help with my math. The teachers are very helpful and supportive. My results were so much better and I liked that they could help me with my school homework. They also helped with organising my binder.

My daughter had great support for her English. The teachers and staff were friendly.
