Meet Our Team

As the Centre Director, Darcia manages customer service, sales and operations for Sylvan Learning of Prince George.
As the Director of Education, Darcia oversees managing our team of tutors.
Darcia enjoys her career at Sylvan because she knows the importance of the balance between individualized instruction and independent learning.  She sees the difference Sylvan makes in her students lives.
When Darcia is not at Sylvan,  you’ll find her spending time with her family or working in her garden.

Mitchell is a UNBC graduate who joint-majored in Math and Computer Science. He brings his passion and expertise to Sylvan where he specializes in senior mathematics Homework Support. When he isn’t at work, you can find Mitchell playing on one of his many retro consoles, or out for a walk in the sunshine.

Pat is a great part of our team who works with students of all ages in reading, math, writing, study skills and homework support programs. Pat has been employed at Sylvan for years and has been an incredibly valuable asset to the Sylvan Prince George team!

Kristenna is a Sylvan Beginning Reading, Academic Reading, Math Essentials and Academic Writing Program expert. She holds an associates degree in Sociology, and is working towards getting her Bachelor of Education degree from the UNBC. Outside of work, Kristenna enjoys snuggling her pets and gardening.

Leanne is a Sylvan Beginning Reading, Academic Reading, Math Essentials and Academic Writing Program expert. Leanne is particularly adept at working with Beginning Reading students and helping students master fundamentals. She holds a degree in Education and Psychology from Lakehead University.  Outside of work, Leanne enjoys going on adventures with her dog.

Jeana is a kind and gentle instructor at Sylvan Prince George.  She develops strong academic rapports with the students in math, reading and writing allowing each of the students to work hard and demonstrate their strengths. Outside of work, Jeana enjoys hiking and making music.

Ackwinder is a wonderful asset to the Sylvan of Prince George team!  Ackwinder is kind, compassionate, empathetic and supportive of the students she works with. She teaches math, reading, writing and homework support.

Janine is a Sylvan Beginning Reading, Academic Reading, and Math Essentials expert. She is also a great resource to have at Sylvan to help students up to the grade 10 level with Homework Support, particularly in Math, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. She holds a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Victoria. Outside of work, Janine enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing agility with her dogs

Rowan is a Sylvan Academic Reading and Math Essentials Program expert. Rowan is skilled at supporting students up to a grade 12 level with their homework in Math, Pre-Calc/Calc and Physics as well as Coding. He holds a degree in Computer Science from UNBC . Outside of work, Rowan enjoys teaching piano.

Jasmin is a Sylvan Academic Reading, and Math Essentials Program expert. She is also a amazing to have at Sylvan to help high school science students with Homework support up to the grade 12 level in Math, Pre-calc/calc. She holds a degree in Science. Outside of work, you will find Jasmin being outdoors, hiking and gardening, or doing something creative!

Jenni is a Sylvan Beginning Reading, Academic Reading, Math Essentials and Academic Writing Program expert. She holds a degree in Bachelor of Science from the University of Lethbridge and is skilled in finding creative ways for kids to learn. Outside of work, Jenni enjoys archery, murder mysteries, and history.

Ashley is an asset to our team in supporting the administrative side of the Sylvan Learning Centre. She holds a degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s University. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys reading and spending time with her two little boys.

Alex is a Sylvan Beginning Reading, Academic Reading, Math Essentials and Academic Writing Program expert. She is also an extremely knowledgeable resource to have at Sylvan to help students with almost any subject in Homework Support. She holds a BSc in biology from VIU and a MSc from UNBC. Outside of work, Alex enjoys cooking.
