Meet the Chestermere team

As Centre Director, Deborah leads the team, connects with parents, and ensures programming integrity. She has been with Sylvan for 23 amazing years. Her specialty is teaching English, especially writing! When Deborah isn't at Sylvan, she is walking her dogs and camping with her husband.

Chris is one of our upper-level math specialists. He has a Bachelors of Science and a Math degree from the University of Lethbridge and has been with Sylvan for many years. He has a knack for being able to explain the hard concepts and make them seem easy! Chris is also able to teach sessions both in-person and online. He has a passion for puzzles and chess, which he enthusiastically shares with the students.

Donna, formerly a resource teacher, is one of our amazing tutors here at Sylvan of Chestermere. She has a natural talent of working with our younger students to push them towards their academic goals, as well as connecting with them with their own passions and aspirations. When Donna isn't at Sylvan, you can find her spending time with her family!

Mariam has been with Sylvan for one year. She completed a Natural Sciences degree with distinction and loves teaching math, chemistry and science. She loves to spend time with her family and her cat, Binoo.

Sukhman is in U of C working on a degree in accounting. She loves to help students succeed and enjoys watching their confidence soar as they improve. She enjoys making learning fun, travelling and hiking. A favourite thing for her to do is try new foods especially decadent desserts!

Sukhman also known as Sukh, studies mathematics at the U of C. She uses her passion for teaching to encourage students to become the best academic versions of themselves. she spends her free time baking and learning new recipes.
