We recently started at Sylvan Learning Center, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with our experience so far. My son is autistic and can sometimes struggle with anger and frustration, so working with him requires a lot of patience, understanding, and compassion. The staff at Sylvan have been incredibly sweet, patient, and supportive with him. Even though he hasn’t been there very long, I can already hear a difference in the way he interacts with others, and I’m also noticing improvement in his reading abilities. As a parent, seeing those little changes means so much to me. We’re still early i…

Our experience with Sylvan has been outstanding. It has been incredibly rewarding to watch our son, grow in an area where he once struggled. One of the most encouraging aspects was seeing his STAAR reading scores improve in a way that aligned with his demonstrated reading level at Sylvan. That consistency gave us confidence that the progress was real and measurable. We truly appreciate the support, encouragement, and personalized instruction that helped him build both his skills and his confidence.

I just want to brag on the staff in this post because I wouldn’t have achieved my goal without their help and support. They always worked with me and my work schedule and the patience and many different ways to teach one problem was exactly what I needed. Thank you so much Sylvan!

We used Sylvan to assist our daughter in mathematics. She has always struggled in math even though she excelled in other subjects. Immediately we noticed the advancement in her math skills. She has been more proactive in studying and no longer avoids her schoolwork when she doesn’t understand something. This newfound confidence and way of approaching school is priceless. It’s a life skill that will continue to assist her throughout high school and beyond college. This is why we are beyond thankful to the staff at Sylvan and believe it is worth every dime. Their level of professionalism and cu…

Everyone at Sylvan was amazing. They checked up on the progress and my teenager learned exactly what was needed. Would recommend them to anyone that needed this type of learning experience. My kid has already said they will miss going to Sylvan each week. The price is high, but mostly understandable.

Cesleigh has been attending Sylvan since September of 2024. When she started she was testing way below grade level. She was frustrated with reading to the point she was afraid to even try. She was embarrassed she wasn’t as advanced in reading as some of her peers. She has attended once per week for 2 hrs per session for about 18 months. She is now testing above grade level. Her confidence is through the roof now!! She reads signs everywhere we go now. No text is safe/private around her now. 😂I do not believe our Sylvan experience would have been the same without Miss Jessie. She is a wonderf…

Sylvan Learning Abilene made a noticeable difference in our daughter’s confidence and skills. The program was structured, supportive, and very effective. We’re truly grateful for the progress she made, the academic improvement was real. The staffs are awesome, constant progress meeting went a long way and much more their schedules' flexibility made it a easier journey for us all. Thank you

My son had some medical issues that caused missed classes which caused some gaps in his math skills and knowledge. His Sylvan sessions were exactly what he needed. My son went from not caring about classes as his confidence was so low, and his grades even lower, to being excited about going to class and making 100’s on nearly every excitement. He attended sessions over the summer and I saw heightened confidence and improved grades as soon as he went back to school. Then it all got even better until sessions concluded! Not even 6 months of sessions caught him up so much. All of the instructors…

When my daughter was flagged at school as high probability for a learning disability, It didn’t surprise me as she had been struggling in school and had terrible grades. I had tried hooked on phonics and flashcards but struggled myself with knowing where to even begin and having a 5 month old on top of it made it difficult to make the time to sit down with her long enough to make a difference. I came across an ad for Sylvan and wondered if we had one in our area and we did! I called and the process was very smooth and it became one of the best decisions I have ever made for my daughter to get…

I’ve been fortunate to be able to enroll my daughter into this program and watch her open up and grow leaps and bounds. As a recovery journey following the loss of language due to epilepsy, my child has improved her reading level, grown confidence in the classroom, isn’t ashamed to ask questions and join conversation, is no longer isolated due to a language barrier, and has improved in nearly all subjects. She has been given a second chance with sylvan.

We just hit our one-year mark with Sylvan! Our 7 year old son, Tobias, was struggling to read, and as a homeschooling parent who had taught 3 of our older children to read, I knew we needed extra support. Right away when we began with Sylvan, our son felt a big confidence boost when he realized that other kids—some even older than him—were there for extra help too. It made him feel comfortable and supported right away, knowing he wasn’t alone. After the initial excitement wore off, Tobias hit a bit of a wall and started to complain about going. But every single session, he would come out with…
