How much does it cost? Sessions start at $59 per hour, varying with your enrollment plan. Call or text us at (805) 782-1012 to learn about our flexible payment options.

How often should my student attend? This depends on your family’s goals and the results of our Sylvan Insight Assessment. We begin to measure progress when a student attends at least 2 sessions per week, while we may recommend 4-6 sessions per week for students needing to catch up or wanting to get ahead. Sessions are 1 hour and begin on the hour.

When will I get a progress report? Every 4 weeks you will meet with our Director to review your student’s progress and refine the learning plan.

Are the teachers certified? Yes, we selectively choose and certificate teachers to work specifically with curriculum for students in San Luis Obispo schools. Our tutors are passionate, warm educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Read about them here!

How does billing work? During the last week of each month, we will confirm your schedule for the month ahead – sessions and rates – then bill for just that upcoming month.

How do makeups work? When notified by 12:00 pm the day of afternoon instruction, or by 5:00 pm the day before morning instruction, absences are excused with the option to makeup missed sessions within the same calendar month of the excused absence.

Do you offer financing? Families can utilize our partner Splitit to bring the cost of enrollment down to as low as $249 per month with 0%-interest, credit-linked installments.

Can I pause or cancel my student’s Sylvan Pass? Yes, Sylvan Pass members may pause their membership for the cost of 1 Session per month, or cancel at any time for the cost of the Monthly Price of the enrollment.
